PSP Game Decrypter v2 Released. Patch 5.55 & 6.00 Games to work on CFW.

Yoshihiro has released Version two of his for PSP games that require firmware 5.55 and firmware 6.00 to run. This application allows you to patch the firmware 5.55 and firmware 6.00 eboots in order to run on to B2. It allows you to also run 5.55 and 6.00 FW games on your ChickHEN R2 / Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A PSP-3000.

This latest version includes fixes so users should have less issues running certain newer games. There are report that CFWEnabler will also run some games. So try that first if you have it installed and if you do decide to use Custom Firmware Enabler 3.60, please uninstall it first!!

    Game decrypter hangs on my psp if i run the program and i did’nt put any eboot.bin on mem stick root. Maybe a bug? IDK :-)

      what did you said? i cant understand.
      you need to put a eboot.bin on your memory stick root folder before you run it.

        that’s the problem. I forgot to put the eboot.bin so when i start the game decryptor, i don’t have any option to quit. And then it hangs.

        Then it’s not a bug because you did not follow the direction.

    pspslimhacks.com is late with this news. v2 is just a fix for marvel ultimate alliance 2.

    and btw, there are some games which are LBA protected, so the ‘simply replace eboot.bin’ won’t work, it will have a black screen of nothingness.

    I have the CFW-GEN-B2 AND WHEN I PUT TEH EBOOT FILE INTO THE MP-ROOT FILE I BOOT THE GAME DECRYPTER V2. WHEN I BOOT IT IT SAYS ME :ms0:/EBOOT.BIN not found. HOW CAN I FIX IT. AND STH ELSE HOE CAN I OPEN THE VSH MENU?

      you have to put the eboot.bin in the root of your memory stick not in the MP ROOT

        sorry but i am a new user. i dont know what is the memory stick ROOT. Is it a file? And if you know tell me how can i install the VSH menu because i havent got it. Thank you for your time

      man you really don’t know what are you doing
      problem one put the EBOOT.BIN file that U get from the game in the root of the memory stick(the desk top of the memory if you don’t know)if you still not sure the every driver has a letter right let say your driver letter is H the you put the EBOOT.BIN file to look like this H:/EBOOT.BIN do you got it now my friend

      Problem two to open the VSH press SELECT Button and it will appear but in case not then you have custom VSH plugin remove it from the recovery menu and you are done

        thank you very much for the root. but if you can explain me what is the recovery menu. i dont know how can i see the vsh menu because i press select and nothing. thank you again.

      ok if you press SELECT Button while you are playing that doesn’t work you have to press the SELECT in home menu (I mean where you can see your games and play music or watch Video…..etc)
      if that work then your are ok try that and tell me

    I tought when i disable vsh menu on my psp 3000 the games give me no black screen, but it isn’t.
    can someone help me to get my vsh menu back. how can i come in the recovery menu on the psp 3000 without vsh menu?

      the only change in this is you can now decrypt the marvel ultimate alliance 2 eboot.

    what it means if you see this in your screen:the game could not be started(80020321)

      go into the VSH menu and switch the UMD mode to “No-UMD”
      if that doesnt work then this is the same error you get when you try to run a 6.00 or 5.50 game under a lower FW, and that means that you havent patched the ISO correctly!

      i got that message when i tried naruto. but i already fixed it with the export and import thing in umdgen.
      5.03 GEN-A only supports few games compared to 5.55 GEN-B2, which all 5.55 games are currently working.

    No difference for me with Decrypter V2. Dirt2, GT not working. Only get blank screen. Motorstorm works fine though. This is on 3000 CFW 5.03 GEN-A.

      it works on dirt 2…
      copy the decrypted eboot into sys-dir and to the update folder. it worked for me

        Sys-dir, yes. Thats the UMDgen-thing. But to the update folder? Cant find that command in the description for patching the UMDbackup. Please explain! Thanks.

      if you go to pspgen.com and read their list of compatible games, you shouldn’t have wasted time testing those non working games. AND the difference of this decrypter v2, it is now compatible with marvel ultimate alliance 2.

    after this decryption utility, Yoshihiro is making another impact by patching the irShell, thus making it compatible with 5.50 GEN. he’s on a roll this week, but i’m expecting him to release another DSONPSP update.

    fifa 10 works on cfw 5.50 genb-2 you dont have to do this to that game it needs firmware ofw 5.50

    haha i ripped this thing apart, added this, took away that, BINGO .. All games i have tried are now working on 5.00 m33-4 & m33-6 .. G.I Joe, IL2, and even got Dirt 2 working .. just watch for my work ( you know where ;) ) ……… KloWn

    I have a psp 3000 with 5.03gen-a and a psp 2000 with 5.50gen-b and i can get all the games i have tried to work on 5.50gen-b but some of them will not work on 5.03gen-a like gran turismo, dirt 2, disgaea 2. So 5.03gen-a is not fully compatible with this.

      It will not work on 5.03 gen cfw, you will have to wait for the update from Yoshihiro.

      Yes it will work on iso”s they cant be compressed when you use the Decrypter. They have to be an uncompressed iso

    Tested on PSP 3000 running Custom Firmware Enabler 3.60, and it ” DOESN’T ” work.

    It worked on 5.03 GEN-A. My advise, change firmware although i will miss the smooth interface of cwfe 3.60

    I am confused. On pspslimhacks it says that this will work on PSP 3000 using 5.03 GEN-A. But here in the forums you are saying that it is only for 5.50 GEN?

    Can someone please confirm and/or help?

    I am using a PSP 3000 running 5.03 GEN-A and when ever I try to decrypt an ISO it says acnnot decrypt eboot, has a string of numbers that I guess is an ID of the eboot, and says unknown with a sad smiley. I followed all of the steps in the guide to the letter.

    Tried Disgae 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Gran Turismo, and none worked.

    So far, the only game that I can get to work on my PSP 3000 with 5.03 GEN-A is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. I have tried GT, Persona, and Disgaea 2, and none of those have worked.

    I followed the guide to the letter, and tried switching from the M33 to the Sony driver and nothing works for those other titles. The PSP just hangs on a Black screen.

    Anyone know why I people get different results, using the same model PSP, the same CFW, and following the instructions to the letter?

    Are those that have gotten GT, Disgaea 2, and Persona to work, saving the ISO as an uncompressed ISO, CSO, or compressed ISO? The compression of the decrypted ISO is the only variable left that I see that could potentially cause such inconsistency in the results that we are seeing.

      There is no fix yet for PSP 3000′s that have been updated beyond official 5.03 firmware.
