Wololo confirms the public release of HBL !!!

today posted a new video of in action. This time PSV runs and does it pretty well. also gave us some more info on the HBL itself :

“We are aware that this hack will be easily patched by Sony, but we still plan to publicly release it some time soon after the US/EU release of the Vita (we still have to port HBL to the EU/US versions of the game but that shouldn’t have any difficulty).”

So we’ ll get a HBL sometime after the US/EU release but as expected it’s easy patchable.

Note : Patching the HBL will be very easy task for Sony as all they need to do is to remove the game from PSN.

Note2 : PSV for some reason doesn’t run any PSP Demo so the exploit must be in full PSP game.

    Well this is good news but whats the point of publicly releasing it. If sony patches it doesnt that render it useless. Or is it that once you have downloaded the game it doesnt matter anymore?

      If you download the game before Sony patches it and don’t update you will play PSP homebrews as long as you want

        unfortunately there are forced updates now…lets hope Sony just overlooks it. Its only being used for homebrew so i really hope they do.

    It will be a set date so we will have to be quick and download the title before its removed. Depends on how fast Sony is we could have a few hours even a day if they are sleeping. Its likely to be at the end of February, maybe even march? To give US/EU users a chance at least of getting hold of it.

      no, keep them, well until psv can do cfw then maybe yes.
      but keep in mind that PSV can’t play psp games, so if you want to play psp games keep you old psp that can do that.

    homebrew is good but i hope they will not make iso loader for psv, if ever they make iso loader then the developers will not make excellent game for psv because of piracy..

    Why would you want to play ugly ass homebrew on a power house device? There’s no logic. Unless you HB creators can make games that look can run at 40-60fps at 1080p then HB games on the Vita is pointless. I can see them on the PSP, because PSP gfx were sub par.

      Emulators. Useful apps. Shit Sony cannot and will not deliver. The stuff that the PSP’s hardware was not capable of doing at full speed (N64 emulation, SNES emulation for games with the FX chip, I suspect PS2 and Gamecube emulation will even be possible with this powerhouse.)

      1080p isn’t everything like you seem to think it is. HD graphics are not the be-all end-all.

    wondering what the install of this is going to be like since the vita doesnt allow access to the memory card without the use of content manager.
    But from what seems to be stated is that you download a psn game and then run something. but who knows. Will find out in about 3wks wont we.
