Vita Firmware 1.60 does NOT patch the exploit, HBL still alive

As we recently announced, the latest firmware, version 1.60, was released today in Japan. One of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind was this: does this firmware patch the exploit through which the HBL is run? Now we have our answer: NO! teck4, the developer behind the original exploit (to which the HBL has been ported) has confirmed via twitter that the exploit is “still alive” in firmware 1.60. Great news!
With only a few weeks before the Vita is released worldwide, this puts us all one step close to being able to play homebrew on out brand new Vitas! As always, keep it here for the latest news from the PSV scene!
