Ok now your here I can tell you it not quite as good as whats running through you head right now, however it could get better soon.

Sure, running PSP on is fun, and is a very nice piece of work, but it’s about time we move on, isn’t it?
Developer yifanlu started a new project called Vita Loader (UVLoader), it will be a loader for the , basically.
Not PSP homebrews, but native PSV code, isn’t it awesome?

This project is based on a PSV exploit he found (there are no details about this for now, for obvious reasons), but it’s still in its early stages.
Just a few lines of code have been written so far.

At this point in time this is a very basic exploit and does not actually do anything useful for any of you at this time. This new project is based heavily on the for Psp, Yifan Lu has also mentioned that this will not enable piracy on any level.

Unfortunately as I said earlier this is at a very early stage so there is nothing for all you homebrew people to download at this time.

    That would be cool for the VITA to have its own homebrew . Especially if it was able to take advantage of the VITAs hardware .

    I’m very interested to see how this develops . Good luck to all the devs and programmers .

    Yeah, i bet that wont last long. Once the exploit is released. Someone will find a way to piracy.. It would be better if you didnt even release this. I dont want the PS Vita to die. Its an amazing console.

      It won’t, its just vhbl with the power of the psvita. For iso’s you need kernel access

        Not really. The PSP 3000 has been breached. They just used the hack itself to run on the console. Not install it. Which can happen the same thing here. I hope these douche bag hackers wont lead to piracy.

        You all seem a little butthurt about the possibility of eventual pracy. I personally think it a necessary step. The Ps Vita is dying because it is being suffocated with the lack of games available for it and imo piracy would promt sony to expand their game selection for it.

    Hey , i have a quick question and didnt really know where else to go.. Someone’s offering me a psp 3000 6.30 in exchange for my Psp 100 5.00 M33, i wanna know if the 3000 can be hacked and run isos and stuff, Thanks.

      I didn’t go and research it in depth, but as far as I can tell from a quick search the 6.30 firmware isn’t hackable as of yet. I (think) it has to be 6.20 or lower. However go and do a search yourself and find out for sure.

        Wrong. My PSP-3001 is running 6.35 PRO-B5, so anything below that is also hackable.

        Also don’t swap units dude, the 3001 is garbage compared to the original. I had the 3000 first and when I got the 1000 I couldn’t believe Sony cheaped out on the 3000 so much. The boot and load times on the 3000 are slower and the battery life sucks, which is another thing to keep in mind.

      yes i have a 3000 you can downgrade it to 6.20 ive done this loads of times fo my mates and kids psp just make sure you research it as you can brick the 3000 if done wrong and unlike the 1000 model you can,t unbrick its all new downgrade files i think it starts 6xx downgrader hope this helps you also need sony 6.20 official firmware and 6.20 b10 custom firmware

      Hey, dumbass. If you want the Vita to die, then YOU go back to playing on the PSP 3000, but all of us (for the most part) want to see this amazing device live on.

    Oh god I hope this is finally the light at the end of the tunnel. I SOOOOO want HBL on the Vita itself. Enough of the PSP emulator exploits. I want something that will make it so we can take full advantage of the Vita’s hardware.

      I don’t necessarily approve of piracy, but in the case for the Vita it’s necessary (imo). This is because with the ability to run ISO’s people could essentially get all 20 games available for the Vita (not literally 20, but you get my point) and this in turn would hopefully inspire Sony to expand the game selection available for the Vita.

    Fan-Fucking-Tastic. It’s about time someone realized HBL on the PSP emulator On Vita was a wasteof time. Although I can’t wait until someone takes his work and makes it better with the abilitity to run ISO’s. Because The Vita is dying off and Sony really needs some inspiration to expand their game selection for this impressive device.

      No ISO’s, that will lessen devs for the Vita. Just hombrew/emulators. Thats all we need anyway. And HBL was never a waste of time, without it, we never would have exploited the original PSP, and the Vita would just die out after some time.

         I want an ISO loader because I have some PSP games that I’d like to put on my Vita that are not available in the PSN store, FF7 Crisis Core for example. I can use UMD dump on my old PSP to make them into ISO files, but I need a loader for the Vita to use them. I don’t care about piracy, I just want all of my PSP games on my Vita.

    Can’t wait for a Nintendo 64 emulator to come to the Vita. Finally we’ll have a portable device capable of perfectly emulating the N64. And to play all of my favorite games on that beautiful 5″ OLED… <3

    Another thing to think about is PS2 emulation, as well as Gamecube. I think that quad core 2GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor can do it. Not full speed of course, but it should be able to get around 50-60% speed. What do you guys think?
