Virtuous Flame releases Open Content Manager Assistant
Sunday, January 1st, 2012
As the name suggests Virtuous Flame’s latest creation “fixes” the PSV’s Content Manager so that it doesn’t require internet or update to transfer your files on your brand new portable console. The patch changes the PC program itself in order to prevent it from connecting to the internet. Here are brief installation instructions :
- Download the archive below.
- Extract the archive in your Content Manager Assistant( CMA ) folder (by default this is C:/Program files/Sony/Content Manager Assistant )
- Quit the CMA if it is running on your PC
- Execute “run.bat” (you need to run it in “Admin mode” on windows 7 )
- That’s it, now the CMA should run without requiring to be connected to the internet
Note : The developer states that it’s still unstable but it was tested and it seems to work fine.
