Video: HEN PSP-3000 Running Homebrew & Emulators

The latest video proof of HEN working on the PSP-3000 (HEN stands for Homebrew enabler) . shows of some Homebrew and Sega CD Sonic emulation on a PSP-3000. What some thought would never be possible on a TA88v3 motherboard IS possible thanks to the and davee’s HEN. While still no release date has been set. As we can all see from the video its looking near complete! Shouldn’t be too long now?

According to M for Mature forums, as posted by Davee ChickHEN or HEN will be released in the next 24 hours. (We hope so and cannot wait!)

    for me, in order for the HEN to be complete is to add the iso/cso support,
    so that it will be more used by psp3000 users.

    i bought my psp 3000 a day after it was officially released here in Japan, i have been waiting long enough to have this psp to do more it can bare to do. from months, to weeks, to days of waiting… i know it that day will come… very very soon. :D

    I’ll applaud you Davee and your team! this is a very very great accomplishment, even Dark_Alex had a hard time hacking the PSP 3000 and sadly stopped trying for some reasons. But you and your team pursued, there will be a lot of people smiling after you release the HEN. I hope it is soon enough, can’t wait :)

    I have v. 4.20 how can I upgrade it to 5.03 and avoid it from upgrading straight to the new 5.50?

      Neva mind, I already got it. You got to download 5.03 EBOOT.PBP from some website and put it into memstick. (for those who are wondering the same thing as I was).

      Yea, the 1 at the end only means the region, eg 3003 is UK, 3004 Europe etc. The actual psp is the same.

    I hope it would really be released soon so that we can now play using emulators. This is only the start… maybe next time we can also play downloaded PSP games… can’t wait for that to happen. Ü

        You already have “HEN” on PSP 2000. (Unless you are one of the unlucky ones with a TAV833, or whatever model motherboard it is)

        As far as M33 is concerned, I don’t know.

        If you are worried about damaging your battery when you make it into a pandora battery: don’t be. Or, if you are really worried: Buy a Datel tool battery.

        Also, just because you have changed your battery into a pandora battery doesn’t mean you can’t use it like a normal PSP battery. All you have to do is download Time Machine and install the IPL. This allows you to your your Pandora Battery just like you did before you modified it except you can now also use it to dual-boot OFW 1.50 and CFW 5.00-M33, or some other CFW.

        To use a pandora battery as a normal battery (This is after you have used Pandora to install CFW, of course):
        1.) Download Time Machine (Search for it on this site)
        2.) Turn on your PSP by plugging in the AC adapter and removing the battery, then turning it on.
        3.) It will start up normally. Then, plug your PSP into your computer via the USB cable.
        4.) Put your PSP into USB Mode via the XMB
        5.) Install Time Machine by copying the correct folder to the right folder in your memory card
        6.) disconnect your PSP from your computer, but leave the AC adapter plugged in.
        7.) Put the battery back into the PSP.
        8.) Go to the Game Menu in the XMB and open the Memory Stick. Run Time Machine.
        9.) You will see several options. For now, though, just Install the IPL.
        10.) Exit, remove the battery and AC cable (This is to ensure that your PSP is turned completely off and not in sleep mode)
        11.) Insert the battery and your PSP will turn on and display the Sony logo. Bam! You’re done!

        Im hacking my friends psp 200x with TA-088v3 and my own psp is much older and it has been hacked like that. I have hen R2 in friends psp i installed m33. Now i await fos permanent cfw. :/

    this excellent news! the suck thing tho is that my psp still have a 4.20 firmware… i’m not sure if i update it now would update the firmware to 5.03 or higher though.. what should i do?

    I can’t wait for this to be released. I’ve been waiting since November 2008 when i bought my psp 3000. At first the datel battery brought up my hopes, then it never worked. After that the gripshift hack came out and then dissappeared. Hopefully this comes out soon. Great job Davee!!!!!!!

    2. change the File Name to ( EBOOT.PBP )

    3. then open psp using USB.

    4.Add to ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE

    But it did not work can anyone help me?

      Thx..I Found what was wrong I wasn’t going to my memory stick in the PSP, I thought it was going to automatically update it when I put the file in psp :)

    Hey , well just want to say that it didn’t work only for a TA88v3 , i have a psp slim & lite 3004 with TA90V2 and the ChikHenR2 Worked Fine for me , working hombrews and wish to play ISO and CSO games , thanks anyway to Davee …
