VGT Evolution v1: Complete PSP XMB Mac Style Transformation

Team VGT has released a new application for PSP. It’s called VGT Evolution. It basically transforms your XMB in a mac style menu, with battery info, menu transitions, Mac style dock, screenshot option, file hider, two sexy themes, information bar, file hider and much more.

VGT Evolution v1 Release notes:

Operation (how does it work?)

  • Digital Pad
  • Cross (X): Select an option
  • Select: Open VGT Menu (like a VSH Menu)

Details

  • Developed in C.
  • Images an MP3 included inside the EBOOT.
  • There is the possibility to choose between 2 themes.
  • Bar like Mac Style (Rocket Dock, I think it’s called).
  • There are some effects when you open a window.
  • The language is charged in function the one you have in XMB (by the moment Spanish and English).
  • “Scroll” and “Blink” messages.
  • If the prx aren’t with the EBOOT, the homebrew won’t start.
  • There’s an information bar: User, and Battery info.
  • MP3 Sound in the bar and credits.

- Don’t use Flash0 options in PSP’s with ChickHEN.
- All backups are saved in: ms0:/PSP/GAME/VGT Evolution/…
- The theme files have to be in: ms0:/PSP/THEME/THEME1… THEME2… etc
- Don’t use battery options with PSP 3000 or 2000.

        try to upgrade/patch your 5.50 GEN-B(FULL) to 5.50 U3R-A
        >with speed ms access like 5.00m33-6
        >though m33-6 has much speed ms access than U3R-A

        Any chance it’s not working on 1k models? Someone else said it’s not working for them. But It’s running on my Slim with 5.50 GEN-B (Full) which I got on this site.

    i have psp 3004 chickhen r2 mod 2 cfwe 3.60
    it worked for me in the firs two tries
    i tried the nand backup after that whenever i start the program it crashes

    This is basically a Homebrew that boots up other HB programs. It works just like any other Homebrew Launcher. It does not re-make your MAIN menu at all. Not only that, but when it starts up, I saw a Image text that said it is a Beta. Next time someone makes like this, hopefully it will actually change the MAIN screen instead of being a Homebrew Launcher.

      dont think psp has built in temperature censor, but it could easily be using an online temperature service for updates
