Custom Firmware and Homebrew master Dark_AleX has released a new custom firmware plugin called USB Version Fake. Its compatible with 4.01 M33 and will allow users to fake their PSP’s firmware version for PlayStation 3 connectivity. Handy as the PS3 will often check which firmware version your using and make sure its the lastest. Which might be something of a problem if your on PSP Custom Firmware.

Won’t work on 3.71 M33-3? Hmm… here’s a hint… UPDATE!!!
I don’t understand what the deal is. I am running 4.01 M33-2 and have ALWAYS updated with every release from dark alex, yet so many refuse to update. All of the ISO’s work from 3.60 M33 all the way up to 4.01 M33.
