Uo Snes9x for PSP v0032 – Supports HBL Rev 85

Share

Japanese coder Ruka has just released an update for uo_9x, the / Famicom emulaor for PSP. This is for you users on PSP Go’s and PSP-3000′s (5.03+FW) as it now has added support for the HBL rev 0.85 recently released. Also sports improved compatibility. So if you want to play a few SNES ROMs on your PSP Go this is the one to get as it should run better than the other SNES emulators on HBL.

      By “goes” I mean runs.

go to the settings and change ur sound to 1.5 and games to 1.5 then frameskip to 1 or 2 and cpu speed to full max . That should give u the full perfect gameplay mang…

      • Loory

Yes, playing with setting I put CPU Speed max, frameskip 2 and it works fine, but why is it red if I put cpu speed on max, does it hurt the PSP in someway?

      • 2678728

hey evo, on the readme file it says that “increasing cpu speed may damage your psp or other peripherals” it worries me to keep using this emulator

  • KageKami

This is great! Mortal Kombat 2 now runs a FULL speed (sound off) WITHOUT frameskip during fights, LTTP also runs a lot faster, SMRPG also got a pretty big boost,, Earthbound works incredibly well now, although it still runs a little slow with sound on and Spiderman and Venom Maximum Carnage works MUCH better.

Is it just me or is this version of snes9x WAY faster on HBL

I have a 3001 with OFW6.20 with HBL R85. Testing random games but to name a couple donkey kong country with sound and no frameskip. Star Fox without sound

    Am i tripping?

I’ll be adding this along with my other few emulators. The Final Fantasy remakes for the GBA just aren’t the same as the SNES ones…..

    • Go-Hack

      Yeah…..

  • dark collector

Does anyone have a list of roms that work well without any slow down issues? (with sound on)… Thanks :)

  • dark collector

FYI: Killer Instince and Zelda run a little slow.

    • dark collector

Thats Killer Instinct… sorry for the typo

  • evonracer

Wow works great thanks mang…looking forward for more update..” people whos having trouble makin the game runs smooth. Once ur able to load the game up hit the left joystick once there u should be able c the setting menu just play around with it ….what i did on mine was audio to 1.5 and game to 1.5,framskip to 1 or 2 whichever u like and cpu to full max i believe its 333mhz and tats it the game should run Nice and smooth it depends on which game ur playing i think but i’m playing Donkey Kong so its running smooth on mine…NICE! Lookin forward for more update please!!!!!!!!!

    • dark collector

Great tip! Working better now :)

where should i see the setting menu?? all i can see is “0, Triangle, Select+Start” where can i see the settings?

    • http://myspace.com/tylersmyspaceplace Tye

While playing a game, press in the left direction with the Stick (Not D-pad) and that should open up your menu. Frameskipping, clock speed, and other gameplay and emu settings should be there. But even for being at its regular settings most games seem to run fairly slow. I’ve tried Megaman X 1-3, Final fantasy 1-3 (3 works pretty well despite some scenes that cause it to slow down), Donkey Kong Country 3, Secrets of Mana, Lufia 1 and 2, and a few others. The majority of them run at a slower pace than the PSP seems capable of. I’m sure a few tweaks here and there will have it running a bit smoother if Ruka wants to update for HBL.
