Ultimate VSH Menu Final by Total_Noob

is back with , this time its the final build. The last we saw of VSH Menu was the revised release, back in September 2009. Well this final build has a few new features and its pretty much prefect now dear I say it. I highly recommend it to ALL custom firmware users, it gives you some great advanced options right from your XMB / VSH. The one I use the most is maybe the most basic, shut down your PSP from the XMB. But its so practical, like the many other options available. It works with Custom Firmware 5.00M33, 5.02GEN, 5.03GEN & 5.50GEN (The video above is of the last version, but it gives you an idea)

Ultimate VSH Menu Final Features:

- All features of the official VSH Menu.
- Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrated (don`t forget to flash 13-27.bmp).
- Ability to hide the MAC address in the System Information.
- Possibility to hide the UMD update icon.
- Skip gameboot can be enabled or disabled (you’ll save ~4sec^^).
- Convert battery option is available in the VSH Menu (convert battery to Pandora, Autoboot or Normal).
- Option to suspend the device.
- VSH Recovery can be opened in the VSH Menu.
- Ability to quickly exit the recovery by pressing SELECT or HOME (or use the normal Exit).
- Recovery can reboot by holding R and going to exit (useful for VSH plugins and other configurations).
- VSH Recovery can be loaded from the Memory Stick (ms0:/seplugins/vshrecovery.prx).
- Compatibility with Lockdown by Torch.

Ultimate VSH Menu Final installation:

Copy the ‘PSP’ folder to the root of your Memory Stick and launch ‘Ultimate VSH Menu Installer’.

I’m just wondering, is Dark Alex already dead? Coz he’s been in a silent mode for a long, long time….

And I’m hoping that he’ll be back to create another kick ass cfw like 5.0m33-7 especially for psp 3000 version coz as we know, psp 3000 is not as stable compare to psp 2000 with a permanent hack.

  • thehype

    Dark Alex, are you dead?!

  • XxEVILxXSnakexX

Well most ov us believe that, yes Dark Alex is dead. We havnt herd from em in a long time. Hopefully he does come back with somthin we can all enjoy.

Just installed, works great, how do you make a Pandora battery with this I have a PSP 1001, I chose “Pandora” where it says “Convert Battery” but it didn’t do anything, any help?

    • adeeb458

when you chose Pandora, your battery was made into a pandora battery. there is no confirmation

    1.
How can I do this one?
Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrated (don`t forget to flash 13-27.bmp).
What can this thing do to psp?

    2.
And also, if I enabled the “SLIM COLORS” option, does it have any effect? or what does this option do to psp? Coz I don’t know much of it…

  • rdycrz

I made a Pandora battery with this but now I can’t make it normal again. Any help?

    • Gunner89

Use hellcat’s recovery flasher 1.6 to patch to battery back to normal.

This worked great for me!!! awesome add on!!

  • crashhh

How come some of the options are gone? Like the Speed up Memory, and the bgcolor. Those were included in the previous release I think.

Is there anyway to get the L+R+⬜ combination to switch between VSHMenu/RECOVERY/DISABLED back, or was it completely removed?

  • titan2ten

either this or snes9x-euphoria-r4 has f*cked my psp up when i turn my psp on it just goes black

  • titan2ten

is there a way to manually remove this from the memory card or is installed into the cfw or something

  • CheloXL

@titan2ten: I can confirm that this program is the culprit. Same problem here. The only way I can turn on the PSP again is by detaching the battery and connecting the power. In that way, it starts again. But every time I connect the battery, the problem continues. Will try to see if I can uninstall it.

  • CheloXL

Update: I uninstalled the program and still does not boot up. Any ideas are welcomed… :(

    • alex10bz

      try to reinstall ur CFW

    • titan2ten

hey CheloXL yay my psp works again, this is how i did it,

go into the recovery menu, then configuration change UMD Mode to M33 driver -NO UMD-)

hopefully this works for you too

I also disabled (skip sony logo) I dont think that had anything to do with it though

    • Hiten

Don’t listen to these guys. The real way to do it is go to advanced configuration in the recovery menu and enable XMB plugins. You might have it off. :D

@CheloXL yea i found out i could turn it on with just the charger etc too
@alex10bz how do i go about doing that?

  • CheloXL

    Reinstalling CFW solves the problem…

    • alex10bz

  • FriiGamer

    useless junk!
my psp won’t start up now, I’ve tried so many attempts to fix it, wasting too much time on this!

let me know if someone finds a fix.

    • Hiten

:D it’s simple you have to enable xmb plug-ins from advanced configuration, or at least that worked for me :D . Hope that helps anyone.

  • FriiGamer

yeah got it working, not sure what I did though.
after I gave up & turned everything off, a few mins later I tested my psp and it’s working.

I’ll just stick to an older version.

    @Hiten, I didn’t touch that setting.

  • ekseL

if anybody used the Ultimate VSH Menu and got a PSP that turns on with a black screen (no backlight) w/ the green power light on.. i know how to fix it.. (it happened to me also out of nowhere).. it seems that if you open the menu and you toggle the covert battery option and leave it at pandora and reboot or shut down the device while in the menu you will end up with a pandora’d battery.. which is why you get a blank screen with just the power light on.. all you have to do is..

    1. plug in your A/C adapter to boot up the PSP.
    2. after it boots, insert your pandora’d battery (only works with soft-mod pandora batt.)
    3. open the Ultimate VSH menu and highlight the “convert battery” option and toggle it to “normal”.
    4. exit the Ultimate VSH menu. (to double check, open the menu again to make sure “normal” is selected from the “convert battery” option and exit again.)
    5. remove the battery with the A/C adapter still plugged in & shut down the PSP.
    6. unplug the A/C adapter and insert the battery, and turn on the PSP.

.BAM!!! now your PSP should start up normal with only the battery!!

i got scared when this happened.. i’m glad i messed around with it for a while.. i knew that option was there for something.. lol. anyways. hope this works for you guys!!!

    • ekseL

***NOTE.. before you do step one.. take out your battery from the back of the PSP!

    • titan2ten

thankyou, this worked apart from using vsh menu to make my battery normal for that i had to use hellcat’s recovery flasher download: http://fserv.skill-club.com/get_959_7eae.html

  • P

I know how to fix the battery you need the action replay psp cheat system
when I bought the action replay cheat system it came with a memory card and a action replay battery enable buy it and put the affected battery in place in the battery enabler and a green light shows on the left. Press and hold til the green light on the right shows and your done.

  • Gunner89

This doesn’t work with 5.50 Prometheus-2, but it worked with my m33-Prometheus. Guess I’ll have to deal without it until it gets updated…

    • Gunner89

Never mind. I got it working by re enabling the plugin.

okay, i have a 2001 psp with 5.03 firmware. now is there a way for this to work on version 6.20 TN-B? i have another psp this version, im trying to get iso off of umds. and i want to do it without spas-miming my brain apart. i know 5.03 gen will work, but do i have to go through with getting “chickHEN R2″ (which i have prometheus as my current hen) in order to get this? im basically doing a one time job on this so thats why im hoping there is an easier way to all of this.

    • psp-minds-destroyer

nevermind, i found my own way
