Forum expert UltimaKillz has posted, without a doubt the best on how to install custom firmware on any PSP. This tutorial is very well written. It provides all the links and info needed. Information like flashing Custom Firmware with a Pandora battery, using , and  CFWEnabler. Its all there, covering PSP-1000′s to PSP-2000′s and the last release the PSP-3000. Which firmwares are hackable and which aren’t. Types of motherboards which can be flashed and others that need ChickHEN.

With a great layout and step by step instructions this is perfect for anyone new to the PSP Custom Firmware scene and would like to delve into the world of homebrew games and applications via CFW.

    I am stuck with the unhackable psp slim with 5.51 ofw I have tried everything that I could think of to mod it but no progress I have looked into the MOHH exploit but there is no way to get cfw on the psp with 5.51 ofw no e- loaders available as yet I am thinking of downgrading with the pandora battery and a grader but I am afraid that it might brick the psp what wuld you recommend. I have never had this much trouble with older model psps .

      Just use a pandora battery if your 2000 is compatible. i have used the pandora battery-magic memory stick combination on many PSPs, without a problem. And, if you do goof something up, just put the Magic memory Stick and the pandora battery back in your PSP and redo it.

    ultimakillz has a detailed tutorial on all models of the psp this is the bible of putting cfw on the psp I would suggest to all to read that tutorial it is the best that I have ever seen it is filled with all the info and has all the answers to every possible question with cfw for the psp..
