6.20 TN HEN to Release as planned. 6.35 TN HEN might be delayed

Wololo has just reported today he has some news from on 6.20 HEN. There is some good news as well as some not so good news. Hey but its not that bad! Because of changes between Kernel 6.20 and , his work porting from 6.20 HEN to HEN is requiring more time than originally thought. Due to this 6.35 HEN it might not be ready for a Christmas release. 

However the good news is, Total_Noob is keeping his promise and plans to release 6.20 TN-A HEN around Christmas time and then later the VSH exploit 6.35 HEN. Which we might see after Christmas now. All I can say is keep up the good work and I hope the impatient noobs out there just leave him be. Don’t spam TN’s website!

There’s some good news and some not-so-good news in what he told me. Basically, Lots of changes happened in the Kernel between 6.20 and 6.35 (lots of nids changed, and finding them is an extremely difficult and boring process). Because of that, porting his work from 6.20 to 6.35 will require more time than he initially expected, and that might not be ready in time for Christmas.

Nevertheless, Total_Noob will keep his deadline promise, but release the Hen for 6.20 first (using the Patapon 2 exploit and most likely HBL), then later on, the 6.35 version.

I hope this will make everyone happy, I know the last days are always the hardest, it’s like being a kid and waiting for Christmas again, but let’s all be patient

    Regardless of the release it’s still good to hear this is gonna be a reality.. Shouldn’t matter if it’s “late” or not and besides they have every right to take their time .. Just thought I would put this in before ppl start complaining…

      6.2 Will come first, he will do a christmas release like he said. But 6.35 is going to be delayed

      This kind of thing should be delayed for another year, before it got released.

      Its easy: 2 HEN versions. 1 first release for FW 6.20 and it will be run via HBL. This is a kernel exploit. The other 2nd later release will be 6.35 HEN which is a VSH exploit run from the VSH menu. HBL not required. Hope that clears things up for you!

    Gotcha!I was really hoping for this!I mean I knew that porting to 6.35 would take longer.This post just confirmed my thoughts.Im gonna get this AND a new keyboard for Christmas.Maybe I will write a song for TN xD

      The only thing I want to do is use homebrews and plugins such as the GTA cheatdevice and the music plugin that lets you listen to your OWN music while in-game. Most of these people want ISO’s and most doesn’t understand that you need a bigger Memory Stick from the original such as a 4GB+

        the only thing i want to do is play my old psx games. i have had them forever and never got through them because they were too hard when i was a kid. now i dont want too play them on my pc because the controls are awkward so the only choice is to get them on my psp.

    Can we just clarify one thing? I understand that the 6.20 HEN will be released at or around Christmas, but what about the 6.30/6.31 HEN? Shouldn’t that be released BEFORE the 6.35 HEN? Like, is the .30/.31 HEN still being worked on? Or has it been canceled or something like that? I’m asking because I haven’t heard anything about it for a while now…

      lol. Why worry about 6.31 hen? TN WIll release 6.35 hen so just update your frmware fr0m 6.31 to 6.35.

        I worry about 6.31 because I know a couple of people who don’t want to wait for 6.35 HEN to be released “when it’s ready” ’cause they are comfortable with 6.31 and don’t feel the need to update. So I’m asking on their behalf.

    Lol, I don’t understand. To my knowledge on this subject(which isn’t much, lol.), the VSH menu is only available thru CFW. It’s being said that the 6.35 port will be ran thru the vsh. Does this mean that ppl with 6.35 OFW r essentially screwed?

      Do you know the ChickHEN exploit for the 5.03 OFW? That was a VSH exploit. I hope I clarified that for you

Can’t wait to play Mega Man X6 again on my PSP Go, playing Deadalus full speed, using CWCheat to mess up my games, and taking my UMDs and playing them on a better display.     Total-noob has tested TN on a PSP-GO, PSP-3000 and PSP-1000.
    So yes it will be compitable for your psp.

    I was just a littlebit confusesed about my mobo, it was delivered with firmware 6.20 so it has the new mobo that frenchman found.
    After i’v got hbl on it i’v found that my psp has a 4g ipl(the same as a psp go).
    Total noob tested it on a psp go so i’ll think that this will work on my psp-3000

      apparently you didn’t read this post.. since IMO you’re a noob on the PSP scene let me put you up to speed.. there is no 6.20 hen yet.. it is yet to be released sooner or later.. but by christmas it will be done…. if you have that firmware i suggest using HBL for the mean time and play a few homebrews while waiting..

      anyways great job TN! take your time, no rush.. it’s better to have a stable working HEN and be released later than having a buggy HEN that will be released now.. this is great news for 6.20 users including myself.. HBL was already enough for me but looks like i had something better.. this will be a great christmas present for me..

        @priyeshmonu: this is a HEN… which stands for Homebrew ENabler. It’s not CFW so no iso loading due to Total_Noob’s stance on piracy.

        Oh, and you’re english needs to be tuned up a bit, unless intentional of course

    just dont update yet people.any firmware you have just dont update until TN’s HEN is out! Dont get too excited on what you see or hear. If the HEN in released there will be a step by step procedure on how to install it like other exploit right pspfan?

      It’s recommended that anyone over 5.03 upgrade to either 6.20 or 6.35 (unless you have a psp 1000 or a psp 2000 with the right mobo). Most likely this HEN is for people who accidentally upgraded their psps or it came pre-installed (my psp go came pre installed with 6.10 so I upgraded to 6.20)

      Unless your PSP 2000 is able to use a pandora’s, I’d recommend Prometheus v3 (as v4 is pretty unstable IMHO). If otherwise, yes, TN’s HEN will work with every model with OFW 6.20 and (later on) OFW 6.35

      They did make a GEN for 6.10, but do to the community it was not released. I’m pretty sure GEN doesn’t care much about the community anymore seeing as how I don’t see much activity from them

      If you’re on OFW 6.20 and you’re asking if upgrading to 6.35 is better, I’d say stick with 6.20 as the HEN will come out first, then the 6.35 will come out later. The only benefits of 6.35 is it can play games for 6.35, but since this is not an ISO loader it really doesn’t make a difference

      hmm if the games you are talking about are homebrews then it can.. but if you’re saying ISO’s (the games in UMD’s) it may or may not come in the future.. but dridri is already working on an ISO loader so don’t fret.. btw you’re 6.10 psp version? i suggest wait for 6.20 HEN then upgrade to OFW 6.20..

        as you can see, it is only a HEN (homebrew enabler) so ISO’s can’t be played yet, UMD’s are the only way to play PSP games for now.. let’s wait for dridri to release the ISO loader if successful

    Hey Yoshi, have you any idea if there is a homebrew PSX loader? I’ve seen previous comments saying they want to play old PSX games.. wonder if this is true.. but from what i believe only CFW has that kind of ability right?

      Rumor is going around saying that the Noobguard blocks people from writing to and from their flash0, making PSX Emulators impossible. POPS Loader is found in the M33 FirmWare Modules. So in order to use PSX Emulators, you will need POPS Loader.prx in one of your flash folders.

        yeah ur right. TN develop a feature called Nan-guard thats why writing to flash is not accepted anymore. But i wish TN make a few exceptions like allowing popsloader to write on flash.hehe LOL

      hmmm…. Total_Noob said he’d convert some plugins so that they can work with the new HEN (since it supports plugins). If not TN, I’m pretty sure someone will be able to port the necessary PRXs so we can all play our old PSX games

    Hi friends! I have some questions about the upcoming 6.20HEN. please help me .
    I have a PSP 3004 OFW 5.50. Now, what i’m confused about is, will this 6.20 HEN allow me to play ISO files like i used to play before? And if not then how can i play the games like nfs, GOW, etc.
    And about the 6.35 i think its like ‘chicken’ so will it allow us to play iso games???
    What is the diff between HEN games and ISO games? And last but not the least! Is this a permanent hack?like if i shut down my PSP and then restart it, will the crack still exist?

      HEN stands for Homebrew ENabler, which means you can play homebrew only. Total_Noob’s HEN won’t let you load ISO files due to his stance on piracy.

    As a new PSPGo owner, I am anxious for this 6.35 version, however, don’t rush it.

    I think we would all rather see it take a bit longer, and get done right the first time, then rushed and end up only “partially working”.

    Keep at it, we all support ya, heck maybe we can get some cheerleaders in here if you need some smexy motivation.
