TN Hen for Firmware 6.35 ? Works via VSH exploit

Wololo has posted some rather interesting info on the current 6.20 TN-A development. It also looks as if is working on a TN (HEN) release. One that can be run via the XMB. No demo, no save game or commercial games just a good old “dirty” . (ChickHEN, was a VSH remember, so expect something similar) Still 6.20 TN HEN works on 6.20 via . So standby and don’t be dumb and update to 6.35 based on this info. We might have a 6.20 TN-A release before 6.35 TN HEN. Either way this is all good news for homebrew lovers on higher firmwares. Lets what and see what happens. I’m sure TN will give us an update on his planned TN HEN release or releases!

You may recall that TN’s initial plan was to release the Hen for OFW 6.20 through the Patapon exploit and HBL, and he said that “When Sony releases a new firmware [he would] port it to 6.31″.

This statement was assuming Sony would release a new firmware AFTER the release of the Hen, in order to patch it…but 6.35 came unexpectedly.

You may also remember that Total_Noob announced he also has a vsh user mode exploit that could work with the Hen. After discussing with several hackers he had decided to keep that one under wraps, and use the patapon exploit on 6.20 instead… but again 6.35 came and changed things.

In the current state, releasing the Hen only for 6.20 would feel only like a “semi success”… I contacted Total_Noob yesterday, and his answer was short but clear:

I’ll release HEN for 6.35 with VSH Exploit

So, there you go.

This means several things:

  • Total_Noob has probably been extremely busy recently porting his work to a new firmware and a new exploit. So let’s let him breathe :)
  • This announce might delay the release of the Hen, but I am not sure about that, Total_Noob didn’t tell me how far he is in the port.
  • The Hen will work directly on 6.35, will not require a commercial game or even a Demo, and will not require HBL. It will run directly from somewhere in the XMB

        @tylur i dont think it can be a tiff exploit. Sony completly disabled tiff support after 5.03.

      +1 but most probably it is as 90% of the xmb exploits are tiff based

      i was on psp king a couple of hours ago and saw this even though 6.36 is out it shouldn’t be affecting the release of tn hen all though i dnt trust sony 1 bit they culd come up with anything all though lets just hope that tn hen can be released in peace

        You really think Sony is giving more security updates? They have no more reason to. the 31mb that 6.35 enabled the support for Qriocity deleting and adding certain files to the flash. Right now the PSP is very vulnerable. Why would Sony have security updates anyway? No more dev kits for the psp are being distributed anyhow. All the updates for the PSP for now on are going to be mainly apps. Only thing Sony is safeguarding is the PSN. Which so far they have done an excellent job with. There security is not as good as XBL, but its getting there.

          I say why don’t people learn some simple programing, so they don’t have to complain to TN about getting an exploit. I only know basics of the psp, I program Android OS.

      CF3esBestia you have a point all though something came in mind to me, is there any hack for psn ?? because now i thought about it some people are justing wanting iso loaders and they keep asking the same stupid question even though it has been said a million times t_n is not releasing iso loader but maybe someone might make it. back to the psn subject would it be easier if some released a psn hack so they could download there games from there

        I know there is PSNabler that works for FW’s under 6.35. For some reason I needed to reset one of my psp’s, and the PSNabler gave me an error last month. I could not even login to PSN. Fortunately I have a 3000 with all my bought games on that. But it seems like if you delete your account info off your hacked PSP, theres no way to get back on PSN even if you use PSNabler.

      first of all convinced that the hack on 6.20, now will be on 6.35 … looks like set up from sony to force everyone to upgrade to 6.35 :) , and then you get your brick ready served :)
      guys this game is ruled by sony, no doubt, they warm you up with “hackable” firmware, and then they brick you remotely as soon as you load anything or connect to anything.

      Today I gladly accepted to be a beta tester for Total Noob’s HEN on my PSP3000.

      My beloved PSP 3000, which had been on 5.03 for more than a year (thanks Davee) now had to be upgraded to 6.20 and rely on Total_Noob’s expert hands. I must admit I was scared, upgrading a PSP3000 to 6.20 means no return to the great world of chikHen. But I’m strong and I gave up on Davee’s HEN (and Gen’s additions) for the sake of testing. Hey, being allowed to beta-test such a breakthrough is an honor and I wouldn’t have traded my seat

      Well, the first attempts actually failed (and I almost crapped my pants), but Total_Noob quickly figured out the issues (did I mention he’s an expert?), and I could confirm that the HEN on 6.20 is 100% real (and I almost crapped my pants a second time), as I was able to run Wagic from the XMB on a PSP3000 on OFW 6.20, as you can see on this video.

          The famous IPL hack which was used with the Pandora Baterry was blocked long time ago.This HEN has basically nothing to do with the Pandora Baterry.Mostly there wont be another IPL hack.Those are really rare.

      Thank you to Total Noob so much which release 6.20 TN Hen for us. Why this firmware cannot play ISO and CSO game. I think you will update this firmware to support ISO and CSO in the future. I am Waiting for you…..

        There is no .ISO support because we are not pirates, we are homebrewers. Although there is a homebrew that works for 6.20 TN-A hen that allows you to load iso’s. Google Search my friend.
