TimeMachine v0.1, 1.5 Kernel On PSP Slim

Dark_AleX has release . Its a homebrew application that allows users to load previous firmware releases from the memory stick using Pandora.

From Dax’s readme:

The is a program to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from memory stick
using pandora. Like devhook, but working throgh pandora and custom ipl’s, it would work even if the
flash and nand ipl of the machine is destroyed.
The is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of
booting psp’s even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers
to test their homebrew in different firmwares.

Currently the can install the following firmwares:

- Original 1.50 (can only be loaded on the phat)
- 1.50 with some 3.40 hw modules. Can be loaded on both, phat and slim.
- 3.40 OE (can only be loaded on phat)
- 3.60 M33 (can only be loaded on slim)

Rest of cfw will be added in the future.

Requeriments of time machine:

- The itself doesn’t require any firmware, only a pandora battery.
nand boot in slim, requires, however, 3.90 M33-2 or greater.
- The installer requires 2.71 SE or higher.

Instructions: Copy the folder to /PSP/GAME and run.

Thanks finalgamerX for the heads up!

I’m not too familiar with this type of thing. As a Slim user with 3.90 M33-2 who can use just about any emulator and play PS1 games, I’m not sure how I can benefit from this. What additionally do I have access to through this? Thanks for any answers.

slim users benifit alot from this as the 1.5/3.4 kernel will allow us to use 1.5 kernel apps and stuff also useful if certain apps wont function properly or at all under newer firmwares so i guess the answer to who benifits from this is ALL PSP USERS DO!!

It is not harmful. It worked on my psp slim 3.90 m33-3. I now have 3.60 m33, 3.90 m33-3, and 1.50 on one psp. How mad is that!!!
