TIFF Exploit / HEN release has been delayed... Patience Jedi
The team behind the TIFF Exploit has posted today that the TIFF exploit or HEN release has been delayed due to unforeseen problems creating a the release. In know alot of you have been eagerly awaiting this release. Please be patient, flaming comments will not bring this release any closer….
Update 4/21/09: It will not be released tonight (9:30PM EST as I’m writing this) and Davee will be gone for a good portion of the end of the week so there is no idea as to a new potential release date. We all ask for your patience as we work through these moments of anticipation and excitement.
NOTE: Davee and crew have been hard at work on getting HEN for us however they have ran into quite a few problems and have been working diligently to solve them. We ask for your patience at this time, we do not have an estimate for the release date (Davee originally said “by Tuesday” but that was before the complications arose). We will update you on any progress we get notified of!

how could a 17 yr old australian from perth crack the psp security set by sony.He CAN”T and he DIDN’T. oh I think now this is just all a BS and stunt by I for Immature forums to get more users…Its all FAKE and total BS. Shame on them…..You see soon I’m right when they make more excuses for more delays…

Drake: It could be fake yes. I can’t rule that out. But we have to at least trust them somewhat, that in stating they are working on a HEN release for all PSP’s. After all they did release a TIFF exploit did they not? Give them some credit.

can you please tell me i am still undecided which i buy psp2000 downloadable, or psp3000 i am afraid i might buy the wrong unit here in the philippines the price of psp2000 went up to 17,000.00 pesos before it was 11,000.00 pesos en the psp3000 just went down 10,000.00 pesos please help me , can the psp3000 be hack appreciate your responce asap thank you…………………

The TIFF exploit IS WOKRING, and as soon as sony got a whiff of it a new FW update comes with no TIFF support.
Also it can be a hard thing to grasp for someone as giftless as you, but some people do have talents, Davees talent is knowing his way around the inner mechanisms of the PSP…
Removing this post won’t speed up the release of the HEN…

It isn’t fake. I spoke with some devs from the former M33 team on IRC and the HEN is real. They’re just fixing bugs and making sure it will not brick our PSPs, and I think they should spend as much time as they need on that, I really don’t want to break my PSP. So stop flaming, the HEN is real and will be released some time in the near future.

So you are basing someone’s intelligence who you don’t even know off just their age? That’s the highest level of fail I’ve ever heard about in my life. I had a friend back in 9th grade who got so bored in his programming classes he started making stupid (but harmless) viruses with visual basic that would move your mouse cursor to random positions on the screen at specific intervals and he could do other things like have the program add itself to the registry and start on boot or begin overloading the memory with iexoplorer.exe before explorer.exe even had a chance to load. Sure visual basic is easy and all and I know the PSP wasn’t coded with visual basic but thats just one example. Another example is a person I knew who graduated one of the top 200 physicists in the country and he was taking 4 physics classes a day, not because he was good at it but because he actually had fun with physics. You shouldn’t under estimate someone based off their age, there are alot of people who do amazing things that are under the age of 18 and I’m sure alot of other people reading these comments would agree.

The TIFF-exploit is gonna be awesome. Its good I think, that they keep us updated and that they arent releasing anything uncompleted. Perfection is the key. We have waited a long time for the PSP3000 to be HE, and we can wait an additional week if thats needed.

This is not fake. Everyone can try the TIFF exploit, which works. It is a proof of concept.
But unfortunately application loader is a bit more difficult than just “hello world” program, so they need their time.
Everyone who bitches about them is just a looser who never tried to make even a simple program.
There are always some unpredicted dificulties.

I do not believe that this hack is a fake. This will be the first good hack for the psp 3000 and some of you are insulting the makers of the hack? Not very smart. Well Dave, hopefully the gets released soon and not keep being delayed, but at least you explained why it is late. A release date would be helpful

If he wants patience, I’ve got a lot of it. For months I’ve been waitting for some light about hacking the slim. So far what this tiff do my psp is just taking it to the hello world screen. So I and I am sure a lot people out there also wish that this won’t be like datel or gripshift. Sharing is caring.

2 A couple of you only flame because you didn’t come up with it.
3 It’s flaming like this that made miriam leave and potentially put back the timing on hacking the 3000.
4 Age or nationality doesn’t have anything to do with ones coding skill, you biggot (Drake).
5 Yes this is the essentially the same as the gripshift exploit, but instead you get more versatility and it supports more mobos.
6 Cracking a code takes a various amount of time, after all who knows how long he been working on the code, he could’ve been writing up parts here and there while developing the exploit. He also has been receiving help from other sources and looking at past HEN and exploits for ideas, who knows maybe he just saw something that we’ve ignored this whole time as unneeded or ordinary. After all wasn’t it once said, “That the greatest questions in life, can have the simplest answers.”

Hi guys, do you have any idea if someone will like “hack the hack”? to get ISO files working, i really wish to play wild arms 2 from ps1 on psp T_T
Because i’ve only seen davee this and davee that, and i read that dark alex isnt working anymore so… is there still psp hackers somewhere that may be willing to do that?

Maybe someone would hack the hack sometime although i wouldnt mind if it cant play ISO/CSO files, but right now the main thing is getting the hack on the psp( i have a psp 3000 and i have been waiting so long for a hack) what was dissappointing is that it seems that when ever there is a hack for the psp 3000 it never gets released(AKA gripshift) I really hope that this one gets released soon!

When the gripshift exploit never came out the excuse of not releasing it was that sony patched it in new firmwares so they decided to not release it. This better not be the same for this hack.

Things that sony should do to reduce piracy:
1)neo1.3 is absolutely right..the games should be made cheaper so more ppl will buy them leading to more profits and less piracy..why would anybody play a pirated copy of ,say, killzone or god of war if the original is available for only 10D?the present cost of these games is 20D(platinum editions).
2)latest firmware must be made essential to play new games(already implemented in the playstation store, u need the latest firmware to download games)
3)homebrew should be enabled by sony in the upcoming firmwares and only pirated games should be fought against… doing this will mean a lot of hackers like DarK AleX and davee will stop working to crack the psp.. because nobody supports pirated ISO’s as much as homebrew..so the intensity and the attention given to hack a psp will be greately reduced….

they are working for free with something that uses more brain that some of u can imagine, so be patient.
I’m waiting for it, too. I have a slim with TA088-v3 since the year’s beginning. Try just look for information in the forums, sooner or later it will be released.

Hey Sony, here’s a way to make real money.
1. Start porting Playstation games to the psp UMD discs, (there are alot of incompatible ones with the homebrew emulator, see list below). You made the old playstation games, so your homebrew would be far better.

I think Davee wii release the new HEN very soon but he needs a lot of time because it’s hard just think when sony creates something new like the psp 3000 the create new security systems that’s why it’s hard to break it so we should respect those people who trying to make new thing for everybody without a penny
