Team N00bz have joined forces with FreePlay and MaTiAz (The guys that brought us the Grip shift hack on the PSP-3000). Joining up with them they plan to further expand the exploit found and the way forward for homebrew games & Emulators on the PSP-3000 / TA-088v3.
Here’s what Team N00bz have said about this:
The exploit already includes an SDK to allow porting of homebrew by devs, but that’s cumbersome. Our initial focus will be to make it easier to run standard homebrew via this exploit, by adapting eloader to it. This will be restricted purely to user-mode homebrew, since there is currently no public kernel-mode exploit that could be used here, and compatibility is likely to be patchy due to the security measures in the later firmwares which make determining all the syscalls almost impossible. Still, you can expect that at least some emulators and other popular pure user-mode homebrew will run.
Beyond that, if anyone finds a usable route to kernel-mode then a HEN and downgrader ought to be doable, but we’re not focussing on that at this time.
So good news for PSP-3000 & TA-088v3 owners, but still no full user mode to flash custom firmware!

man I would kill for a phat. That universal remote built in ( infared) really comes in useful for me unlike other things such as skype for 2000.

I think they should try this exploit on more common, newer games.
Gripshift is pretty hard to find.

Its only been found in grift shift at this stage. Maybe it will be found in other games later on? Grift shift is pretty old….

i have a question why dont they use the exploit that they found in gta liberty city and lumines?????
January 10, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Because they don’t work on the TA-088v3 and TA-090v2.
We’re actually joining too the Sparta Exploit Team and see if we can accelerate the times of hacking the PSP 2000 and PSP 3000.
Have a good day.

I don’t think he’s the real Dark_Alex.
If he was he would at least post it in his site or at least someone will in other websites.
However if its true it will be interesting to wait for 19th.

You haven’t seen pocket racers then. Solid snake hates it. I personally haven’t played it however it has horrible reviews since its opening made no sense whatsoever.
