3.60 Released

Nick Swardh has released version 3.60 – this release brings new logo/watermark encoding options to add your own logo to movies plus many new tweaks and fixes.

v3.60 changes:

* Added a whole new “Logo” section that enables you to add your own logo/watermark
* Added a new “Line Darkening” option to “Tweak Image” which makes the lines… eh… darker
* Added a memory stick space-check when uploading a video to the PSP
* Updated the sharpening filter LimitedSharpen to LMFmod
* Increased the “Custom Resolution” limit from 3 to 4 digits
* Fixed a subtitle-extraction bug when converting
* fixed bug causing some subtitles to show up incorrect while previewing video
* Fixed a screenshot-marker bug
* Misc improvements

3.50 Released

PSP Utility developer Nick Swardh has released an update to his windows application called . Many fixes and improvements have been added to this newest version. A new preview option which displays the current converted frame has been added, a new pause conversion has been added and well improved image tweaking and subtitle extraction to name a few.

After using this since the beginning, I can say that this program is defiantly one of our recommended applications for converting videos into PSP format.

Version 3.50 changelog:

[*]Added a “preview” option that displays the current converted videoframe
[*]All settings (Framerate, Resolution, Image Tweaks and Subtitles) can be previewed when using the “Trim” options for instant view of changes in the setup
[*]Added a “Pause Conversion” option to the process priority list
[*]Added a VobSub filter for subtitles (now activated by default)
[*]Added option to show/hide all video settings (now hidden by default)
[*]Easier to select a preset
[*]Improved “Tweak Image” options
[*]Improved extraction of embedded subtitles
[*]Added new presets
[*]Misc improvements
[*]Minor changes in the GUI layout

PSPVC v3.40

Nick has released an update to his called err … Or for sort. This version 3.42 kills a rather nasty bug that would slow video conversions down to a crawl. Also present are a few other bug fixes.

Nick Swardhhas released 3.30 ( 3.30) This release features many improvements to the way subtitles are handled and various bugfixes.

Changelog:

  • Improved subtitle alignment
  • Added “Drop Shadow”, “Shadow Opacity” and “Shadow Distance” options for subtitles
  • Added support for domain entry in Server
  • Replaced “Sharpen” with “LimitedSharpen”
  • Unlocked “CMP” (Motion compare functions) in “Advanced” tab for stronger compression
