Retrobits has repacked the vertical shoot-em-up to work on PSP’s running firmware 5.xx. This game was previously complied using the 1.5 kernel so newer firmwares couldn’t run this. (Unless you had a PSP fat with the 1.50 add-on)

This unique shoot-em-up has various different levels of difficulty, each with their own unique style. The game is pretty fast paced and full on, as you can see from the quick video I recorded. Not too mention some levels are insanely hard.

Release text:

Finally got running 100% on my 5.00 M33 slim. I didn’t really change anything, other than repacking the EBOOT with PBP Unpacker and including a .PRF from an old 1.5 kernel memory stick I had. If the PRF file is not present, the game will freeze after about a minute.

PSP Game developer Exter has released a quick bug fix for PSP Rubik’s Cube. It’s the brain teaser game based off the real thing, but on your PSP. And this isn’t just your basic Rubik’s cube either, with a variety of game play modes and various difficulties. Up to 5 x 5 x 4 colored cubes to keep you busy.

Fixed: void cube time/move record wasn’t being loaded from the save file.

PSP Game developer Exter has released PSP Rubik’s Cube v3.0. The brain teaser game based of the real thing -- but on your PSP. Version 3 adds a few new extras like, new menu system, view angle can be configured from the menu, custom cube skins and custom backgrounds.

Dan369 the PSP developer behind is back with a Map editor for his homebrew game. The editor is pretty easy to use and contains normal tile, collision tile and enemy options. An in game map editor is on Dan369′s to-do list. For full instructions and details, please read the readme file contained in the download.

P.S I tried it out, its really straight forward just takes a while to get use to.

Kairus has released 1.2, a homebrew game which is almost an exact clone of the computer version under the same name. Version 1.2 now features sounds and improvements in the fps rate, due to reducing certain graphics which helps increase the frame rate.

SOUNDS!!!!! due to the huge response from 1.1
level display (the “level 1 wake up!” thing)
better points system
improved graphics
reduced lag by taking out a fifth of the explosion particles
reduced lag by decreasing firing rate
increased present drop rate

fixed the rocks dropping drumsticks LOL!

Some of you might remember this fancy looking homebrew game. Its one of the best graphically looking homebrew games to date on the PSP. Its basically Quake meets old Wolfenstein style 3D mazes on your PSP. Mod v0.5 was just released and although its been a while since its been updated its nice to see it being worked on again. We hope Be3f will be releasing future updates of this maze shooter based off Dungeons .07.

v0.5 Changelog:

– 3 levels with new textures. Now features 8 original levels (in the end of the game you finish the story of The First Encounter, so next reliases of the will probably combine The First & The Second Encounters of the Mental’s aliens!)
