, Full screen and full speed TV-Out

You remember ? OldPrisoneR & Andy_maN’s full screen TV out project. Well its been a while since we have posted news. Well since v1.0.50b is out and promises full screen and full speed TV out (PSP-2000’s) its defiantly worth a look again.




Changlelog:

* New “SpeedDBoosteR” solves speed issues for all games and now it’s turned on by default
* New rewritten engine!
* Now uses “one-way-cache”
* Added on-fly screen mode switcher (press Vol – & Triangle)
* Added cpu clock switcher to menu
* Added Vram hack
* Added Plug’n’Go! feature (attach cable and plugin will be activated automatically)
* and a lot of other minor things…

Andy_maN and OldPrisoneR have released an update to , now upto build 47 of which features new SpeeDBooster support for  PSX titles plus and the ability to alter the screen position.

is a custom firmware plugin that lets PSP Slim owners play games over any TV-Out cable. Be it S-Video ,composite or D-Terminal.

Changelog:

* New SpeeDBooster now compatible with all PSone games
* New hotkey (Disable\Enable plug-in)
* Configuration file
* Adjustable hotkeys
* Adjustable screen position
* No more “grab vram” option (use ScreenShoot! instead of it)
* New docs (PDF)

OldPrisoneR has been working on a new build for and that there is now added support for PS1 games. So soon you’ll be able to enjoy that PS1 game in full screen.

OldPrisoneR is on his vacation at present time, however he continues work on SD.
I’ve just received message from him…he is unstoppable!
He managed to add PS1 (POPS) games support for SD!
OldPrisoneR has also said that at this moment he is working on new SpeeD BoosteR, which must avoid any slowdown.

Great news indeed, however it won’t be released intill OldPrisoneRis back from vaction in July. Oh and if you didn’t know FuSa, adds support for fullscreen TV out on any PSP slim TV out cable.

As you can see the output is now full screen with no boarders present. No its not the video, Crisis Core does run a little slower as you can see. Other games are reported to run faster, that aren’t so CPU intensive like Crisis Core or God of War.

Andy_maN and OldPrisoneR have released a new build of , now it comes with Multi language support and full screen mode 2 – This time its real full screen, so you can say goodbye borders (and hello slowdown?) To try and reduce the slowdown there are many options to boost up the speed, like setting the FPS and priority. Its recommended that users make sure they clock there PSP’s to 333/333 for minimum slowdown. Don’t expect to get full screen and 0% slowdown on 222Mhz

But nevertheless this is looking quite promising, I’m sure future builds of this plug-in will have less slowdown.

What’s new?

  • Now support 6 languages (ENGLISH, RUSSIAN, GERMAN, ITALIAN, DUTCH, POLISH)
  • Fullscreen mode 2 was added (REAL FULL SCREEN!)
  • You don’t need dvemgr.prx now
  • Now you can just hold RIGHT and LEFT buttons while setting up FPS/priority – values will scroll automaticly
  • NEW: menu hotkey was added – hold R-TRIGGER while setting up FPS/priority – 10x scroll speed
  • And a few code improvements

Liking that TV-out support and full screen on any cable? Well your going to like it just that little bit more as Andy_maN and OldPrisoneR have released build 41 of . Which has quite a few important bug fixes, like crashing on exit (Now fixed). As well as all games should work when the plug in is disabled

BUILD 41:

  • UMD compatibility improved
  • Every game now works fine while plugin is disabled :)
  • Fullscreen mode # 1 added (Tested with SAMSUNG LCD 16:9 – works fin:) )
  • No more crash on exit

So what does do?
- It allows you to play games on ANY TV over ANY cable.
( composite, component, svideo, d-terminal )
All kinds of cables are supported!
Besides that, it allows you to play on full screen area!
