PSP Game Decrypter v2 Released. Patch 5.55 & 6.00 Games to work on CFW.

Yoshihiro has released Version two of his Game Decrypter for PSP games that require firmware 5.55 and firmware 6.00 to run. This application allows you to patch the firmware 5.55 and firmware 6.00 eboots in order to run on to B2. It allows you to also run 5.55 and 6.00 FW games on your ChickHEN R2 / Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A PSP-3000.

This latest version includes fixes so users should have less issues running certain newer games. There are report that CFWEnabler will also run some games. So try that first if you have it installed and if you do decide to use Custom Firmware Enabler 3.60, please uninstall it first!!

PSP Game Decrypter in the works: Play 5.55 Firmware games on 5.50 GEN + 5.03 GEN-A.

Its out!, Download is below. You’ll Also need UMDGEN 4 for this. Decrypts both Firmware 5.55 games and firmware 6.00 games. But not all of them work due to some headers on the prx files.

hi guyz this tool is here for let you use your original game backup
on CFW 5.50 gen B-2 .

how i can use this tool ?
1 :lets go first you need to install the GameZDecryptZ folder in your X:PSP/GAME folder
2 : put your EBOOT.BIN extracted from UMDGEN PSP_GAME/SYSDIR and put it on root of your memory stick
3 : now you can boot game decrypter now you can press X 5 seconds later it’s done :)
4 : connect your usb cable check on root of your memory stick you have a new folder called decryptor
5 : copy the eboot.bin from the decryptor folder inside umdgen and rebuild your iso

Voilà

PS : not all games working because some games use some fact header on prx files

PSP developer Yoshihiro and the team is working on a PSP Eboot / Game decrypter, that will patch 5.55 firmware games to work on ChickHEN enabled PSP-3000’s running Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A and also PSP-1000’s and PSP-2000’s on Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A to B2.

But what we can gather it will be used in conjunction with UMDGen 4, so experience of UMDGEN is required.

The above screenshot is apparent proof of MotorStorm: Arctic Edge running on 5.03 GEN on a PSP-3000 and PSP-2000 TA-088v3. Yes, to all you PSP-3000 users. Its for the PSP-3000 too. No need to keep asking for a solution as it’s coming!. But for those of you that can run ChickHEN R2 & CFW 5.03 GEN-A and haven’t upgraded past firmware 5.03.

If you have Firmware 5.50 on your PSP-3000 your out of luck I’m afraid.

Remember this application is only for patching games you legally own. A UMD copy you wish to run from your Memory Stick Pro Duo for example. NOT for running illegally downloaded ISO / CSO files. PSP Slim Hacks owns all their ISO games in UMD format and so should you!

iR Shell for 550 GEN-A patch

Bosshunter has also released a his own IR Shell 5 patch, similar to joshd666’s iR Shell 3.9 patch for 5.50 GEN-A & GEN-B. Bosshunter’s patch allows 5.50 GEN-A users play ISOS and also improves the stability of IrShell on Custom Firmware 5.50.

Release Notes:

Note 1: PSX games will only work with flash POP Ver (won’t work on PSP’s 2000 with MHU though). With you’ll get an error.
Note 2: It is only for firmwares 5.50 MHU or 5.50 GEN-A on PSP 1000 or 2000. -Tested on both. (It will not work with GEN-B.)
Note 3: This utility touches a file in flash0 so USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Make sure you have:
- IrShell 5.0 installed.
- Plugins in game.txt are disabled (If not you’ll probably get a black screen when running the prx. Just do a hard reset if this happens. Then try the patch again after disabling the game.txt plugins. Kinda looks like a pain but.. You only need to run this once!).
- Replaced the provided IRSHELL folder in your memory stick.

Instructions: (same as the old IrShell patches)
- Run IrShell
- Open Directory View and go to ms0:/IRSHELL/PATCH/5.50/
- Run btcnfpatch.prx
- Press X to start patching
- Wait a few seconds and you’re done (you should see the following screenshot on your PSP if the update is successful).
- You can now re-enable your plugins in game.txt.

CXMB for 5.50 GEN-A revised and re-released.

Matchung has done some work of his own on unofficial CXMB for , improving it as its reported to work much better now. Not to mention that it now properly lists the themes under the [Settings]. Also included in the archive are ctf.exe and unctf.exe. These are used for decompiling and recompiling CTF themes.

GENyUS has released a popsloader module for his Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A, with this plug-in release uses if need be can select which pops version to use for further PSX game compatibility.

How to install the Popsloader 5.50GEN:

* Download Popsloader for 5.50GEN in the link below
* Connect your PSP to your computer via USB
* Downloaded file and extract
* Go to the folder “SEPLUGINS” on your PSP.
* Open the file “POPS.txt” (create it if it does not exist) and add the following line: ms0: / SEPLUGINS / popsloader.prx 1
* Activate the plugin from Recovery

CXMB for Beta

PSPGen have released CXMB for , while its still in a beta stage it will allow users to use CXMB CTF themes. Its an unofficial version of Poison’s CXMB. It also loads the CTF themes without touching your PSP Flash memory, which is risky.

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-A Released

GENyUS and PSPGen have released their Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A for PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 v1 & v2 only. This custom firmware supports official 5.50 features with Popsloader PSX and ISO support. There is also the option to hide your MAC address.

Update: Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A build 4 has been released to fix the PSN network bug. Please download below to patch this bug.
