Its still being tested. And there is a major drawback, the PSOne emulator doesn’t work on the PSP Fat. Its possible its due to hardware or memory limitations on the PSP-1000’s. The only change I can see at the moment is the the recovery menu now accessed via Select button instead of Right shoulder button trigger now.

Best wait for Dark Alex’s Custom Firmware 4.00 I think….

All people whining about being stuck at official firmware will now be directed to pandora battery tutorials in the forums.

Posted on the PLaystation blog is an entry about the next . The updates seem almost as minor to me as 3.93 was. I’m expecting most people to not even bother to update.

So now you can:

  • customize the controls when playing PSOne games
  • quit Remote play then choose whether or not to leave the PS3 powered on.

Though the changes are minor, I do think it’s cool that we know the developers at Sony are taking user’s feedback, these changes don’t affect me one bit, but I’m pretty sure some users out there wanted this.
