Sony Pre TGS Press Conference: PSV launch date revealed
Long ago it was announced that Sony will reveal the release date of PSV on TGS. This information proved to be accurate - well almost. One day before TGS on the Sony Pre TGS Press Conference the Japanese release date was finally releaved. The handheld will hit the Japanese stores on December 17 in only one color - Crystal Black. There will be 3 main packages :
- Base model :
- Includes : the Wi-Fi only model, a USB cable, AC adapter, power cord and manuals
- SIM card : No
- Price : ¥24,980
- Limited edition :
- Includes : the 3g model, a USB cable, AC adapter, power cord and manuals
- SIM card : 20 hour prepaid 3g
- Price : ¥29,980
- First Run :
- Includes : the 3g model, a USB cable, AC adapter, power cord and manuals
- SIM card : 100 hour prepaid 3g
- Price : ¥29,980
Note that the First Run pack is only limited to 500,000 units. After they run out instead of it the “Limited edition” will be sold. Sony also announced a partnership with NTT DoCoMo. DoCoMo will be Vita’s 3G provider in Japan. Sony and their partners will take preorders starting October 15.
