SKFU finds PSV Encryption Flaw?

Share

updated his blog yesterday to inform us that he found in our bellowed Vita. He explains that the system itself does the decryption for him due to a bug in some of Vita’s functions :

“I went on and noticed that there is a problem with the VITA’s encryption functions and was able to decrypt some test files directly via the system.”

He uploaded some screens of his work as proof. They show a file from Ridge Racer game before and after the decryption. He promises to give us more info on the subject as soon as he do more testing.

Note : This is not a hack for the and it’s not meant to be used by the regular users.

Ok will explain in few lines :
Every single file the system uses (I mean the executables )-game,update and so on is Encrypted in order to prevent being viewed and understood by others. If we can decrypt the Vita’s firmware for example we can better understand how it works and start searching for vita exploits.
It’s actually just the first step but it’s a huge step
