Keep Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-B active even after reboot!

This is just awesome, Zer01ne’s has released Sedna for 5.03 GEN-A/B. What this wicked plug-in does is keep ChickHEN and 5.03 GEN-A or B active. Even if you reboot your PSP-3000. So that whole gamble of trying to get chickHEN R2 to run is over!! You PSP-3000 and TA-088v3 owners are going to love this. And it install just like any other plug-in simple and straight forward.

Compatible 5.03 GEN-A/B
This plugin allow to :
-Patch the Reboot of the PSP
-Patch the Shutdown of the PSP
-Hide UMD Update Icon
-Patch flash 0, 1, 2, 3 USB accèss
-Redirecting the file version.txt to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/version.txt
-Patch the blit TIFF image “blit corrupted data for file with extension .tiff”

-How to install it
For install it copy the folder seplugins in the root of your Memory Stick
and copy this line ms0:/seplugins/Sedna.prx 1 in the file X:\seplugins\vsh.txt, X:\seplugins\game.txt

X = Letter of your PSP in Computer

-How to use it
Is it independent, you nothing to do has been have activated, it work in background.

-Known Bugs
Some Reboot/Shutdown is still executed despite the patches apply.

well it is good
but playing with the flash is the risky part

Ok firstly I just realised that you dont need genA loaded to install genB……..secondly I tested this plugin and it simply puts the psp into standby mode when u select shutdown from the vsh menu, which is what we do when we simply tap the power button at the side of psp……so in essence this plugin is not that great….yet….

in normal vsh it can reboot into cfw however when we select shutdown it simply puts it into standby mode………I also tested this on ultimate vsh menu and in their you can neither reboot the psp into cfw nor can u shutdown the psp and have cfw when turned back on….

Oh had me going there for a second, owell still progress is progress and good to see people still developing stuff for 3ks. I find my biggest problem is forgeting to exit games when I flick my psp onto standby and thus the battery dies and then have to deal with CHICKHEN again.

The color of the shell doesn’t determine functionality (unless it’s a 2k and may hint having an unhackable mobo).

Try to change the place of the plugin in vhs.txt for better priority plugin. For me that was the way for my CFWE to be able to see the plugin.

It only put the psp in standby mode.. But at least it can turn tiff image into unsupported data.. No risk of crashing by accidentally browsing through chicken tiff..

Slyvictim ur psp is 3000 or 2000…if 3000 means u had a bad luck…actually from what i see in this plugin
is that not all psp 3000 can use it…ur case is special….if it true that certain psp can be bricked by this plugin, i recommend for user who dont want to take a risk of bricking their psp, dont use this until it has release a stable version in the future…

I just hacked my 2000. 5.03 Gen-A(FULL) to 5.03 Gen-B(FULL)
Can someone help me out? I Do not even have the seplugins folder on my root.

well thats not that hard…..make a folder called seplugins and in there right click>new>text document>put the name as game (and one as vsh) and your done

it means that you put the word “ms0:/seplugins/Sedna.prx 1″ in your psp memory card located at seplugins\vsh.txt and seplugins\game.txt.

if you dont have vsh.txt or game.txt then create one in the seplugins folder.. get it?

Also, when I moved the sedna line on top of vsh.txt, my gamecategories plugin stopped working.

mine (ta088 v3) is also the same, all the plugins enabled still after hard rebooting need to do all the setups..

each time when i start up gen-a , gen-b or something else my psp says that the game can not start because the data is damaged but is isn’t. i install the things like it must. i have a psp ofw 6.10 and i download a downgrade of 6.10 to 1.5 and i run it but again he says that. i have tray many things but i don’t work. sow please help me and sent a mail or somehting else. you are a genius when you can help me.

Damn dont try this!this shit works on me!Hahah finally i thinks i make it work on psp 2000,3000 and 3006 with any firmware and motherboard excluding(psp that have greater firmware than 5.51 nor psp go).Working great in my psp version 3000 and 3006 v5.03)yeah i found it..But what i did is do some tricks,straight to the point.
Dont afraid to try this because it 99.99% save no bricks.

First of All
DONT install any chickhen,gen a/b,customfirmware etc in your psp!Recommended!Its ok if you have those things on your psp but dont try to run it!(if hacked doesnt work on last step then delete all your hack,app cfw etc!Be normal and follow this>)first turn off umd and umd cache,put theme to normal!,just install this plugins then try loading/install(if you dont have it) the chickhen r2 not smooth version!After the reboot use the gen-a not b.Try shutting your psp off for 10sec than turned it on check you system information and it works!The patch works Waala!It works like charm on some psp that i try including 2k psp with any firmware,but if you found that this trick doesnt work try formatting your psp first!follow this again!If it keeps on not working try>

Seconds steps,only work for the previous psp that i said,
first format your psp,make sure you hack your battery into pandora first but you can also continue if you dont have a pandora battery.Some psp works on hacked pandora battery but some are not so i recommend that at first dont make a pandora battery then continue this tutorial,but if this hack doesnt work for you,hack your battery into pandora battery.For those who cannot hacked their battery into pandora i suggest you buy one,instead of buying,better you search on google for hacking your battery.Continue.(the previous steps doesnt need any hacked battry,just a normal one,but hacked one can also do)then after formatting,dont go anywhere on your psp xmb,firstly i suggest you to go to setting and turn off umd and umd cache off,put theme to normal!Dont ever change it.after that,u must connect your psp using usb and transfer the chickhen r2!Necessary! Install it until you get chickhen firmware but dont install the gen-a nor gen-b!(additional-On chickhen you can also play iso’s and cso’s but not psx but in this tutorial the gen a/b is not needed,it only needed after last step)Trnsfer the sedna plugin to your psp,follow the instruction.After installing that,dont try to reboots your psp,go at the image then load the chickhen until it restart your psp again(if it restart your psp,your chance for this tutorial is 99.99% success!(What it do is after you install the sedna plugin,i want it restarted your psp by using the chickhenr2)Lastly after chickhen reboots your psp,just keep the first screen after reboot for 3sec than try reboot your psp by your self.Check your firmware version(hen is still inside…You can now install gen a/b if you want to)

and now you started to sad and knowing that hacking is criminal!Haha it works like charms!Play your loved psp game,homebrews game,apps etc now on your psp and look how it works.

Sorry for not much detail ive given and sorry for my bad english.Im not english hehe!

Details – 99.99% safe,this will not brick your psp!(already been told on the previous tutorial,ive hacked many psp version 2k,3k,3006 so far,

suggestion- if you wanted to flash custom firmware yes you can but you will lose the hacks.Because this hack will lose if your psp is flashing(on some psp only).To make it permanent,Install the hack again using what step you are after installing customfirmware!!.

All this does is *PATCH* shutdown functions… so if you go to shutdown, it goes into sleep instead.

chickHEN only run in firmware 5.03 or less, it can’t run on firmware above 5.03 (like 5.50 +,it can’t run chickHEN)
