Second FW 6.20 Save Game exploit found. Two in one week!

Its all good news at the moment in the way of save game exploits, as a second save game has been found using another game. Flyer over on the lan.st forums has just recently posted his findings on a second save game he found. Flyer like many others are are continually hunting for exploits and he struck gold. All we need now a nice working VSH that wouldn’t require you to won a certain title. Like the tiff .

So we now have two exploits in the space of just one week. Great stuff Flyer! We know that its likely to be another user mode exploit. Which if worked on by PSP developers in the scene, could lead to another HEN (Homebrew Enabler)

So its all looking positive in the PSP scene and I guess we should see a working release in a few weeks. I hope this game is kept under wraps and top secert. Unlike PSPJoke’s game title which was apparently leaked out all over the place…

        funniest comment i read on here so far. He’s right no one knows but it might be pretty well soon since Socom FireTeam Bravo has been released. I haven’t ran the game yet so idk if it can be patched or if it will run on 5.50Gen-D3. If it doesn’t then expect a release soon. This is just my thoughts.

        yea FTB3 works on 5.50 Gen-D3. I got my hands on the Japanese version. I will replace it with the USA version when it comes out next week. Heck I already beat the dam game within 3-4hrs. There could atleast have more than 20 missions!! There are about 10 missions in total. Guess more gameplay will be online hahahaha

    My guess is: Its out when its good and ready. Which could be weeks or months away. Just don’t update to 6.30 if its released :)

      Since you said that watch half of these guys update to whatever new version SONY brings out. It will become more of a headache if you ask me. (Hey I updated to 6.30, is there a way I can hack that?) lol

    It’s good to keep the user mode exploits for the time that they will be useful-when suitable kernel one is found or at least a user mode homebrew loader is written

    Apparently, PSPjoke’s game is a pretty difficult one and this one seems easy.
    Two holes in the wall of Sony’s OFW is ten times better than one hole.

    Let’s wait another two months to see what will turn out.

      Yes, both exploits work on all psp’s with official Sony firmware version 6.20. If you want to hack your pspgo, you’re going to have to watch for a release and grab the game before Sony patches it. It only took them hours last time. Whatever you do, don’t upgrade.

    Trying to develop new patches and CFW, is just a waste of time, all sony is going to do is just update the PSP system software everytime there is a new “patch or CFW” They said they are going to be more vigilant mainly for FTB3. So everytime there is a bypass, all SOny just does is make a quick update, and all the no life, CFW devs. who still live at home with mommy in the basement will have to bust their butt and and take like 3 months till they realease a new patch. Your better hacking the IPOD touch. and half the CFW devs take there ideas from the nintendo Dsi

        FYI i have 3 hacked PSP’s and one with OFW. and i dont own a DSi. All i was stating is that, if CFW devs wanna create new patches to encourage hacking on good online games like FTB3, its a waste of time, since Sony will be all over that game. You better get all the facts before you start with your assumptions. I like modded stuff, but not when it affects someone elses fun.

        CFW devs try their hardest. Everything gets hacked eventually. Sorry if I seemed harsh, but PSNenabler is working great for many people, for online games. Nearly every console is hacked in some way. I know that Sony is all over it, like I really want KH: BBS to run on my PSP as an ISO so I don’t need to buy it, it’s patched. It sucks. I have bought many games before I lost my previous job, and downloaded a few only because of my budget. So yeah, I am desperate for patches and shit that will help me play for free.

CFW doesn’t encourage hacking online games, it lets you see how much more your PSP could do without the restraints of Sony’s OFW. now, if you want to point blame at someone why not point the blame at NitePR, DayPR and other ppl who created (or had something to do with creating) these add-on’s that let you code/hack online.

      the hilarious thing about this is the fact that you’re insulting the ppl who spend their time helping you by creating this, when you are probably one of the first to get your hands on Cfw when you see it.

        Im not insulting anyone, i just get mad when we get a good gift, and people want to abuse it on online games. CCFW has proved very helpful to me. Being able to watch youtube, having a graphing calculator on my psp. I love it, its just the fools as i mentioned earlier who just take it too far. My bad if i made people think im totally against it. Only thing that might be hacked on the PS3 is the XMB, but thats not evn official. I sometimes download iso, but i do make sure i buy them though later to show my support for game devs. Im sorry if i gave the wrong impression.

    That’s great news but if CFW 6.20 was released today I’d pass on it. I like my Homebrew waaaay too much to give it up. I can play everything I want with 5.50 GEN D-3 so to upgrade to a 6.20 CFW just to have Senseme and a CBR nah it ain’t worth it (imo). When the homebrew catches up with the 6.20 CFW then I’ll go for it.

        Not really lucky. I just did my research before I bought one. Then I went to Gamestop and bought a 1001 and a Slim that had the right mobo. How did I know it was the right one I took in my own mem stick with PSPident.

      Some people want to have SenseMe and CBR. Some people want to take advantage of using PSN. Some people want to play KH: Birth By Sleep (which is patched). That is the reason for 6.20 CFW (along with PSPGo support.

      The only thing I’m worried about is if were getting this information and it is open to the public then what’s stopping a Sony associate from logging in and getting updates from this site???

        two things: either pspfan or the exploit finder did not upload details, so no one knows much about the exploits.
        second:there are plenty of sites to get updates,but i mainly use this site,and no doubt sony is quite aware that we have 2(hopefully genuine)exploits.
        i’m sure that immediately after they are released, whenever that may be, sony will patch them within 2 weeks, therefore many users will update to 6.30 or whatever patch fooliusly, discover this site, and ask for a downgrader, like every psp-3000 owner,and the vicious circle continues, til’ we find a stable method.but at least the population of those that complain will be reduced.

      how does this have anything to do with the action replay eboot? this is a savegame exploit meaning its for a psp game. would be way better though if something did come up about that.

    for those bitchin retards who can’t take meaning out of the word “patience”: both exploits are user mode, not kernel, and that means you’ll be stuck with ofw 6.20, same way we 3000 owners are with our 5.03. don’t expect you’ll get into PSN, cuz sony WILL patch that with new ofw as soon as this HEN is released. the only thing i’m hoping for is the comic reader to become functional, as I have tons of CBR i’d like to try.

    I just want a cfw i don´t care if it has comic reader or not.. I have an other question.. is it possible to use NitePR, DayPR or other programs on PSPs with HEN?

        are u sure? HEN only works if you istalled it but if you turn your psp completly off you have too install HEN again… but you cant shut your psp down and still have HEN. To install Nite PR u have to shut down your psp and u need cfw.. how does it work?

        search “Installing NitePR CFW” on youtube, there is some good tutorials. let´s hope this exploits lead to a HEN that supports plugins and iso/cso reading

    hopefully something happens. word is that Socom FTB3 wont go online if you have Custom Firmware. Will this new CFW include a patch for online gameplay for this game and other PSP games in the future? I really hope so.

    will this exploit or whatever need the UMD for every psp. I mean will I need the UMD Game to work the save game exploit or will I be able to access the save game data without the UMD in my PSP.

    HEY EVERYONE!!! rite now i am doing some editing with eboots and think im on to something. okay, first i have one that will boot up on ofw but it exits me back to the xmb with an error. the second one i have says “the game cannot be started”. but usually when you try to load homebrew on ofw it says “game cannot be started. the data is corrupted.” but mine just says “the game cannot be started” and thats it. anyone have any other ideas?

      hex editing zero233?well in 6xx ofw, the security is tightened up….let me guess.the error is “the update could not be started (SGT90000001)”
      .
      thats what sony planned before releasing 6.xx firmwares.
      .
      one more..(SGT90000001) means the update is edited or modified.the reason why you can go to the “initialization” of update because you can bypass xmb version check,,but still “the update could not be started (SGT90000001)”

      yeah and i was experimenting with the datel eboot and switched around the PARAM.SFO from it to the one i was using

    yes. have you heard of anyone finding out how datel got it to boot? i noticed in the PARAM.SFO file inside the eboot every line where it said “TITLE” had this next to it ” “. every other homebrew app i checked did not have that it just just said what the name of the homebrew was. now iam not too much into coding or programing or anything, but can this be useful?

    Well This Is Nice .. But … Will This Be Like CF 5.50? ChickHEN Is Not Available At 5.50 But .Tiff Still Works On It .. I Resized The “slim” to 400×360 And Able To See It At My PSP .. Doesn’t Show ” ? ” And ” This File Is Not Supported ” .. But It Won’t Load The ChickHEN .. I’m Gonna Try To Make It Work No Matter What , Because They Won’t !!! X-( !
