Another rumor, Team LDX has sprung up from nowhere claiming to be working on a Custom Firmware based on firmware 5.55. Called Custom Firmware 5.55 LDX-M. Sounds familiar doesn’t it…. With so many fakers out there now its hard to take any of this seriously till we see real release from someone. Seems like another fake ?
What they claim is coming in this new firmware:
5.55 ISO and CSO games can be played
LDX VSH menu
+ LDX recovery menu
+ Plugins
All of the 5.55 Firmware features
PSX games
They claim to have a release in one week. Lets wait and see…

September 20, 2009 at 9:37 am
If its a new group with lots of claims and no release, 99.99% chance its a fake. Why would anyone believe them without any proof what so ever especially when they are unknown?
September 20, 2009 at 10:09 am
Lol you have written the title wrong xD. It’s DLX-D and not LDX-M . Hmmmm and this firmware name is strange- “dl X-D” Why the hell they put X-D in their name? I think it’s fake, but anyways GT will require 6.00 soo….
September 20, 2009 at 12:03 pm
Well their blog says its LDX and all the info there refers to the firmware as 5.55 LDX. But then the screen prints shows DLX ? Strange I know. Perhaps a typo? Strange.
September 20, 2009 at 10:13 am
Uhh i hope it aint fake cos we really need a 5.55 althought 6.00 would be a,lot better..

Random question… This doesn’t really fit here, but then again i don’t think it fits anywhere. After several months of observing this site, i’ve come to realize that “PSPFan” is the owner or at least the only person who posts new updates and basically moderates this site. My question is: who the F**K is “Angelo”? It seems PSPFan has some sort of connection with him. I think this only because of two reasons, 1) he also has an icon, and 2) PSPFan feels obliged to always respond after he posts. Help me out here. who is who? And where is my god damn icon?!
September 20, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Hi Lucas, I have no connection with Angelo. He has an avatar because he has registered an email address with gravatar.com (Globally Recognized Avatar). If you head to http://en.gravatar.com/ you can set up an avatar too. Whihc will show up on this site when you comment.
September 21, 2009 at 2:59 am
how do you do that cuz when i do that it doesnt change
September 20, 2009 at 10:43 am
Ohh on a side note.. PSPFan, can you set up some sort of poll on your site to allow people to choose whether they will be purchasing the psp go when it comes out or not.. it’s something I, as well as many others are wondering. $250 sure is a lot of money… but as i think we can all agree, in the end, we all are PSPFans!
September 20, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Hi Lucas, I think there is such a poll in our forum. http://forums.pspslimhacks.com/
September 20, 2009 at 10:59 am

September 20, 2009 at 4:31 pm
guess what, now they claim to have found a mp3 exploit-IN 6.00 FIRMWARE haha
September 20, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Nah the mp3 exploit isn’t an exploit, it’s just a bug which freezes PSP on 6.00.
September 20, 2009 at 8:13 pm
@vin, that’s from wololo if I remember right, and he also stated it’s just a crash. But you never know, right? Crashes often turn into exploits.
September 22, 2009 at 1:47 pm
mp3 crash? That sounds like a small ray of hope for 3k users!!
September 20, 2009 at 11:29 am
MAN now it is getting interesting I want to join one of those teams and start Hacking with them
September 20, 2009 at 1:09 pm
at least the scene is alive….
well.. with the info we have its hard to speculate whether its a fake….
hopefully they’ll release some video proof soon…
September 20, 2009 at 9:03 pm
That’s true, but any one could come up with a spoofed mac address and version like that/ Hell I could whip up a print screen with CFW 6.00 PSH-B lol
September 20, 2009 at 4:05 pm
im wondering why WHEN I SEARCH 5.55 UPDATE PSP THERES NO EXIST ???? IN INTERNET??
HELP
September 20, 2009 at 4:25 pm
Uhm. Could you make that question more understandable. lol
There’s currently no 5.55 CFW of my knowledge.
September 20, 2009 at 4:32 pm
it is on umds only, not on the internet
September 20, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Well at least if its fake we only need to wait a supposed week rather then them saying a month
September 20, 2009 at 5:42 pm
fucking liers unless they put a link of download and the cfw work i will believe!
September 20, 2009 at 7:03 pm
These CFWs are popping up like wildfires in California.

September 20, 2009 at 8:12 pm
this is obviously team mx in another form making another fake firmware with a slight name change
September 20, 2009 at 9:00 pm
Why do you say LDX when the image shows DLX?
September 20, 2009 at 9:06 pm
I covered that before but here we go: Well their blog says its LDX and all the info there refers to the firmware as 5.55 LDX. But then the screen prints shows DLX ? Strange I know. Perhaps a typo?

I have followed this site since last april. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the psp scene is dying. Every day I check the new posts on this site to see whats up, and have not seen anything intersting in months. No new custom firmwares. No custom firmware or custom firmware enabler updates. At the beginning of the summer i ran my first custom firmware enabler on my psp 3000, and I was overjoyed. I checked the site multiple times thereafter to download the updates, the add-ons, the plug-ins, etc. In the last couple months I’ve been disappointed whenever I get on this site now because there’s nothing new, nothing eye-catching. I’ve been hoping hackers would make some sort of patch so I can access the PSN again but haven’t seen anything. It seems as though all the commotion and excitement that started several months back has died down to nothing. All activity by hackers and programmers has seemed to die down, and that is why there haven’t been any interesting posts in weeks. I’m not exactly sure what I intend to gain by writing this; I just want to see what people think and who agrees with me. Sam
September 21, 2009 at 12:28 am
Hi Sam, I know exactly what you mean. We are all, like you all waiting for some big news or break through. It’s coming, its a just a matter of when.
In the meantime while we wait I at least keep the site updates with some form of news. It also depends on what people define as interesting new. Emulators and homebrew etc is interesting to me and many others. But of course everyone is different. If we just posted only CFW or CFW enablers etc the site would be pretty boring right?
September 20, 2009 at 9:18 pm
ok so now i have a question.. On their blog it says it’s done but they are working on a loader to put it on the 1000 and 2000 series.. But they have screenshots of the firmware already on a PSP…. So if they don’t have a loader yet then how’s it possible that they have it on a PSP?????
September 20, 2009 at 9:53 pm
everybody look at the screenshot and look for where it says the date why does it say 19/9 if there isnt a 19 month strange they could be fake or they changed the xmb of their psp
September 20, 2009 at 9:57 pm
As for that 19/9 thing in some countries they go day/month/year but as to why it has 19/9 now i dont know
September 21, 2009 at 12:24 am
Thats the format for non U.S counties
19/09/09 = 19th Sept 2009. You Learn something new every day!
September 20, 2009 at 9:59 pm
5.50 to 5.55? Not a substantial enough upgrade for me to switch. I’ll wait for a 6.00 CFW.
September 20, 2009 at 10:59 pm

September 21, 2009 at 2:56 am
if Team GEN already released the 6.00 GEN-A, fakers could stop making these fake CFWs.
its a fake just like MX and MAC.
September 21, 2009 at 4:36 am
To the guy wondering how it’s on a PSP with no installer yet… You can manipulate the files on the PSP, without the use of an installer. The installers for CFW are just to keep it simple for the general public. The fact that they don’t have an installer, doesn’t mean it’s not possible to have it on the PSP and working… with that said, I’m not saying this isn’t a fake, but that point, in itself, doesn’t prove anything.
September 21, 2009 at 4:42 am
PSPFan – I get exactly what you are saying. I should have said nothing interesting except the new emulator updates because I do like those. What I wrote made it sound like I was completely disappointed, but that’s not the case. I guess what I was trying to say is nothing epic has been released in the last couple months. You’re right though, it’s only a matter of time before something amazing happens. I’ll wait for it haha thanks for the reply PSPFan.
September 21, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Over the years, there have been many “down” times. It’s natural, and always comes back to life in spurts. It’s hard to be patient, but with PSPs, it’s a requirement lol
September 22, 2009 at 2:04 pm
An off topic question… are you the same Raziel that notoriously hacked ALBA18?
September 22, 2009 at 6:08 pm
LoL, not that I remember?! Only thing noteworthy I’ve done was be the first to hardware mod a Slim PSP battery to make a Pandora(back in 2007). I knew nobody with CFW locally and didn’t have the money to buy a Datel, at the time… thankfully it worked, and my guide is actually still “Stickied” in the Time Capsule section of the forums here(something that shocked me almost two years later when I finally got a PSP again and came back here lol) Did the other person use 36 after their name? I ask, because I’ve used this screen name for about 10 years, now… If it was me, it’s completely slipped my mind
September 22, 2009 at 10:32 pm
nah.. he uses DJRaziel… its just when i saw your screen name it was the first thing that came to mind.. ^^
