[Release] gpSP for HBL Build 1 (GBA emulator tweaked for HBL)

Share

frillybob has released his own tweaked build of (GBA Emualtor). Its specially made for users. Works with 6.20 to 6.31 . It has been tweaked to work better with HBL and it should run faster, more stable than other gpSP releases working on HBL. Less crashing when saving, specifically in Mario Party Advance. Doesn’t crash either when you exit gpSP to the HBL menu and run another homebrew app or game. Credits also given to the original GBA emulator dev’s work, eXophase, takka etc etc

gpSP for HBL Build 1:

NOTE NONE OF THESE IMPROVEMENTS ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE IT TAKES A TRAINED EYE TO NOTICE THEM

  • Speed boost for 6.20/6.30/6.31 users
  • PRX in place for when TN-HEN gets released (not done of course)
  • Less crashes with saving games (specifically Mario Party Advance, that’s what made me code this better for HBL)
  • Added special HBL font (not in use, going to be later)
  • To make some improvements I edited the save game feature to only expect so much ram by the PSP (the version is the 64mb version and obviously without kernal access you can’t use that)

can we play zipped 16+mb roms now or do we still need to leave them uncompressed?

    • http://pspslimhacks.com/ PSPFan

Haven’t tested that, I don’t have any ROMs over 16mb

      • cobaltex

ok, i tested it, they still have to be uncompressed.

I like that it supports TN_HEN. Clearly tells that the HEN is almost here more. (You know what I’m trying to say)

judging how it’s two weeks til christmas, the tension of it all is killing me. I mean, it can come any day now since Total_Noob said he would release it before the holidays.

Its our old theme, we are testing the load time vs the new. We have had some complaints saying the last theme in use was too laggy and slow to load.

      • nisarg_kolhe

But the new one looks cool!

hmmm, rev 109 and GPSP kai ver 3.2 works fine for me.. it doesn’t crash when i exit either.. but i think this revision would be better since it is specially made fro the HBL.. good job frillybob! (wow that rhymes xD) i just hope the sound delay bugs are fixed here..

BTW. PSPFan this theme loads better and faster.. i can even open it via my PSP.. unlike the previous

  • jeremeel2015

    is the fastforward is working?
if it is i move my saves here! :D

    • dark86

i try that and none of my saves work :(

      • jeremeel2015

you can’t work the SVS means save state files here
only SAV mean save files only
just save your game to you 1st emulator then copy its SAV file example: test.SAV
then put this emulator then on folder save put it there
that is how it works! :D

It’s a fake. Frillybob is a known spammer who impersonated TN on Wololo’s forum a few weeks ago, and This Gpsp ‘mod’ has specifically been proven to be fake on that very board. Read this: http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=42&start=60 toward the bottom of the page for more info.

Umm… guys is this emulator supposed to be in japanese? It’s like half of the letters are in japanese and the other half in english. Besides that everything seems to work fine. I can exit to the hbl menu and then start another emulator like nesterJ. But if I exit the other emulator and try to go back to gpSP it crashes. So it’s still not perfect.
