Game Categories Lite 1.2 (Multi MS for 6.XX)

has released a nice plugin called, , now is v1.2.

This plugin is based on the same source code from Revised v12 and Light 1.3 which made by Bubbletune,
and now compatible with both 6.20 & 6.3X Custom Firmware.

Developers notes:

I changed the name of the project (doing a fork in the process) to avoid confusion
with GCL (this plugin doesn’t use the folder categories present in firmwares 6.xx)
and GCR (the plugin is based heavily in GCL since it doesn’t use a kernel/user approach).

To create categories just make a directory called CAT_<name_of_the_category> in the
/PSP/GAME folder, you can also create categories inside /ISO and they are going to be
merged with the one in /PSP/GAME (if the category exists).

To hide the “Uncategorized” category create a file named hide_uncategorized.txt and
place in the /SEPLUGINS directory.

    Been hoping for this since I upgraded to 6.38 and the old Game Categories plugin stopped working. And the other GCL is so freeze-prone when trying to fiddle with categories.

    After you download Game Categories Lite 1.2 extract it.

    Note: If you don’t have a seplugins folder just simply create one in the root of your MS (Right Click >>> New >>> Folder >>> Rename it to seplugins)

    After you have paste the category_lite.prx copy the code which i provided and put it in your VSH(If you don’t have a VSH txt then create one Right Click >>> New >>> New Text Document >>> Rename it too VSH)

    For PSP GO

    ef0:/seplugins/category_lite.prx 1

    After That Save Your Work.

    Thank You!! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, one of the reasons why I never updated from
    5.00m33. I hate the folder game categories plugins, and new cfw didn’t have a game categories like this.

    this shit froze my psp 3000 4 times and moved the mod.when i tried to put the mod back, it froze during the launching process and shutdown my psp

    does this still show the pic0 and pic.png stuff when you pick on the game? cause gcl wouldent do that, it would just show the retarded name like “nintendo 64 emulator daedulas RV6773 test build 5 beta 3″ when it was simply “n64 emulator” before it was categorized.
