Real working 6.20 Exploit found. Works on all PSP's.

Here’s the facts, PSPJoke has found a real for firmware 6.20 Quite a few top people in the scene are now working on this Firmware 6.20 . Its confirmed working on the PSP-1000,PSP-2000, PSP-3000 and yes even the Go for now (till Sony removes it from PSN, when they find it). This is not a fake! The team behind this are now working on a form of HEN or Eloader. No word on if they will publicly release it and the info behind it.

No files or videos are out at this stage as proof. But many trust-able people in the scene have confirmed it works so that is enough. And being that fact its a save game exploit of a certain PSN/UMD title once Sony find out they will patch it within hours…This half the issue if your a PSP Go owner after the exploit. I’m afraid too many people are getting there sticky fingers in this one and its spreading like wild fire.

We don’t know what the game its is, but its on UMD so PSP owners with a UMD drive are safe (stay on 6.20!). I suggest you keep up with the latest news incase its leaked in order to grab a copy before Sony patch it or remove it from PSN.

Known Facts:

  • Its a working save game exploit
  • Works on all PSP’s FW 6.20
  • Its not a fake, proven by respected PSP scene dev’s
  • The game is on PSN and UMD
  • User-mode level exploit (Emulators, homebrew etc)

And yes in many ways its will be like the grip shift exploit, UMD copies of this game will sell for stupid amounts once its made public….

So get ready for a new wave of xxxxx save game exploits ;)

    It would possibly take a week or two to get the Hen or Eloader for developers. It should take much longer to be released to the public(maybe never)
    It would be a new stage for the developers but a nightmare for Sony if everything goes well.

    i have a question PSPfan. if this exploit worked, will this give way to produce or make psp 2000 ta-088v3 and 3000 a perma hack? bcoz ive read that they just need to hack first those newer firmware to make a perma hack for lower ones…

      there is no perma hack for 88v3 and up.

      only way for a perma hack, is to find out how to put the psp into service mode. that’s what a pandora battery is for. the 88v3 and up mother boards wont fall for that trick. like all other playstation systems this will need some kind of mod or a chip. tho i do agree with you. some day all psp’s will be hacked.

        i thought the reason you couldn’t flash a cfw to 88v3+ was that the pre-ipl executes checks for OFW, if it cant find what it wants then it wont boot….or am i mistaken?

    hi.i have a Question.i have a psp go and i want to remamber how to work this exploit on the psp go because may sony removes it from store and psp go do not have any umd drive! so we must buy it from psn While the this game removed from psn???? thanks for helps. (sorry for my english)

      They aren’t going to remove the game, but if there is an exploit, then they’ll just force people who buy that game to update. Which means that you’d have to buy the game before they put in the update, otherwise buying the game would be pointless because it’ll update you to a firmware that has the exploit patched.

        aren’t you able to just download the game from a playstation 3 then transfer/install on your psp go from there instead? just a wild guess. could be wrong.

    looking at the picture above it doesn’t look like that is a picture of a go . but i don’t fully know what he go looks like in the nuts and bolts so what PSP version is it?

      lets just pray that PSPJOKE dont get paid by sony to work for them and stop making CFW just like Dark Alex… i know that if this news reached sony theylll probably bribe pspjoke offering jobs for him =)

        sony definitely already knows. they pay people to stay on top of this sort of thing (so they can roll out a patch quicker).
        odds are that pspjoke has already been contacted with some sort of legal documentation from sony. lets just hope he has a stronger soul than freeplay did. shouldn’t be too hard, even convicts have stronger morals than that childish moron XD

    I have a question. Does that mean that there will be a new cfw for the people with ofw 6.2? will it work on psp 3004 S&L too? please give me some more details… I´m psp noob…

      dude being a noob dont excuse impatience. go back and read the description under that picture. it answers all your questions. read everything before asking questions. i’ve been at this for the last year and a half, i’ve had thousands of questions and only a couple i actually needed to post to get an answer. this site right here has the answer someplace you just need to look.

      Not yet. The lower the firmware, the better, as of now.

    i am glad that this xploit has been found and i hope it at least leads to a HEN. but my question is why is everyone focused on this one xploit? why isnt anyone looking into the datel eboot that runs on all firmwares? why dont they try to flip that into an actual working xploit if possible?

      ya. you’r gonna need the game. Sharp eyes on this one. when the name is released this one’s gonna go like hot cakes. and if it’s a psn only then sony’s gonna have a patch before you can spell halaloua…hallalloula…..let’s hope sony spells as poorly as i do!!

    hey quick question. on the un-official Dark Alex home page, it said “The latest release from DAX was Dark_Alex’s custom firmware 5.40 revision-a for PSP3000″. obviously this is not current. but is this really released somewhere or is this something he was working on and never got to release it before he quit?

    just one suggestion i’ve seen that a guy just hack the ps3 with an exploit that can rewrite the internal memory can this process be used to fully hack the dreaded mobos of ta 88v3 and ta 90

    Its kinda weird that this is all happening all so fast. 6.xx CFW is promising but we just have to wait a few months. But it seems that Sony is trying to stop CFW from existing and the Gen Team is struggling to keep up and bring out the lastest and best CFW. Everytime that happens, Sony releases a new OFW and it counters thus forcing homebrew to come in play. eg.

    UMD GEN (5.50 running 6.xx games)

    I have faith though. Just have to let time take over.

    Well I hope this exploit works. We are planning to sell my brother’s DS to my cousin and buy a PSP 3000/PSPGo sometime on April/May. And probably sometime later you don’t need the game itself to exploit a PSP 3000/PSPGo. But anyway, I will stick with the PSP 3000 so I can buy the UMD copy of “The game”.

      If you are going to buy a psp try and find an older 2000. gamestop sells them, some of the people there will even help you find the right one to hack it for good. no hen, just homebrew!!
