PSP Slim TV fullscreen output on Homebrew.

Share

PSP Slim TV fullscreen output is now possible on Homebrew. Dark_AleX has released an example with demonstrates that it is possible.

This is a sample to start the psp slim tv out from homebrew, using whatever cable (d-terminal has not been tested, but i think it has same code as component), and use it in full screen.

You start the sample normally, and then the sample connects to the tv out.

To use it in your code, you just have to replace the call to sceDisplaySetMode with the call to my custom function pspDveMgrSetVideoOut (which calls sceImposeSetVideoOutMode, which at the end calls sceDisplaySetMode), and be aware of the bigger resolution.

Sounds great, hopefully homebrew developers will add TV full screen output to PSP Emulators. Imagine playing CPS game in full res. A M.A.M.E box and a portable one at that.

Good news.It will help me to get a fullscreen on TV to view movie. Yet, what about playing a game on a SDTV. My tv is non progressive format. Can homebrew able to help me?

No problem. FW 5.00 allows you to output in interlace mode (for TV’s that do not support progressive scan). Also, DA has already released CFW 5.00 M33.
