PSP Slim Custom Firmware 3.60 M33 Released

PSP Slim Custom Firmware 3.60 M33 Released.

As reported before in my earlier post Team M33 have released Custom Firmware 3.60 for the PSP Slim. Installation is fairly quick and straight forward, however requires your old PSP “fat”. I can confirm that this works as I have tested this myself. (Proof in the Photo)

Custom Firmware 3.60 M33 for PSP Slim Released
Here’s what M33 had to say:

We are proud to present the first custom firmware for the PSP Slim, and the first custom firmware
that runs using a 3.XX IPL (3.60)

3.60 M33 for PSP Slim has all the features of 3.52 M33, except the 1.50 kernel support, as
that kernel doesn’t work properly on psp slim (hardware problems, screen problems).
3.60 M33 will load homebrew from GAME, GAME150 and GAME360 directories, but all will be executed
with 3.60 kernel.

This mean that some homebrews done specifically for the 1.50 kernel cannot work on 3.60 M33.
However, the adaptation of code to 2.XX+ kernels is not difficult, and homebrew developers can
port their aplications to work in these firmwares.

A Old PSP-1000 (Fat) is required to make the Pandora Battery. Also please Read the read me in the M33 3.60 Firmware and follow the instructions. You will also need to download all the following below:

Installed. They hacked this so fast. So far all I’ve found that it ran was masterboy 2.2.

    Hello,

    Two problems:

    1. Official Firmware update 3.50 archive is damaged
    2. Pandora’s Battery link is broken.

    Thanks

I too have the same issue – no PSP Fat. Any news for whether we are able to apply the hack another way?

TV output will still work. You don’t lose anything apart from some hombrew 1.50 kernel programs

If you run the psp with out the battery first, then put the battery in and run panadora’s battery. It will give you an option to make a normal battery again.

QU: why is it you cant download the files from a previously made custom firmware diretly from the computer to your slim psp? Because i dont have a phat and dont want to spend $200 to buy another psp when all i want to do is play emulators on my slim. I have seen other ways to do so but it envolves opening the battery it’s self to do so. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHY!!
