PSP Game devepolper dan369 is back with an update to PSP Mario, first posted back in September this Mario clone is a little more polished, but still lacking a tad in playability terms. When compared to the original that is. The whole game is lua based power by the PGE (Phoenix game Engine). The game sadly only features one level so far. But once its more refined, expect some more levels.

To the creators of this awesome site. I am an noob web designer and love your site. Two things i’d like to ask. What forum software do you recommend or use. Why when i download some of your stuff through my psp does it become a 38kb file instead of the rar/zip file

It’s alright, but still nothing impressive. I mean, no running, no mushrooms, the jumping is a little iffy. The spacing with the HUD on the top could be changed a bit. I dunno, these are just some nuances I noticed that need to be fixed/added until I could call this exceptionally awesome. But it’s a good start for now.

I’m just wondering… Why make a homebrew of Mario Games when there is an available GBA emulator that can play better Mario Games?

    • funk blast

That’s what I thought….NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, and GBA emulators are all available, and the mario games run full speed.

      • pspadik

And the next question would be… “Who the hell on earth would download this homebrew game?”

Don’t get me wrong guys but why aren’t game developers concentrate on something else. I don’t know, like uhm… a new goddamn CFW that everybody will download and enjoy!

      • Volt7x

What good is a new CFW if there isn’t good homebrew for it? ;)

  • Gikero

Other than the collision detection and not being able to run, I thought it was pretty good. I’ve made a couple simple 2D games and I know how hard some of it can be to code. Good Job.

    • Foxhound1234

Well, collision detection shouldn’t be hard for 2d game engines, depending on the engine and how experienced the developer is. People must be getting reeallly bored with there programming projects to make something like this. If anything, it would be much easier to do a re-make of N64′s Mario 64 on Blender and make a eboot out of that.

not seeing very many new posts here >_>

Even thought this is a cool idea.. ITS PRETTY STUPID TO RELEASE IT WITH ONLY ONE LEVEL.. ITS JUST DUMB..GET IT TOGETHER..

  • Prowler485

    one level? lol.
    Moar plz.

    • Volt7x

The creator is tweaking the engine. Once he gets it to near perfection, then he’ll make more levels. Think of this as a beta release.
