Dan369 has released PSP Mario – The new Worlds v.01, after months of hard work. This PSP homebrew game is based on Super Mario Bros and features a classic HUD, complete animations, tilemap levels, you can play as either Mario or Luigi and classic nintendo sound effects to go with it.

Recommended download if your a Mario / Nintendo fan.

Developers notes:

Feature list:

  • Classic HUD
  • Complete mario/luigi animations (including death animations, turning animations & flag animations)
  • Full goomba A.i
  • Tilemap levels
  • Now completely uses tile based collision.
  • Play as Luigi or Mario
  • Brick Block & ? Block animations.
  • Classic sound effects.
  • And loads more smaller touches.

Game Controls:

  • Start – pause/un-pause
  • X – jump
  • R Trigger – run (only when holding down the trigger will the player run, otherwise it walks)
  • Analog/left & right direction pads = move

    In the game when you highlight to play as Mario, Luigi plays instead, and when you highlight Luigi, Mario plays instead. There are no coins or mushrooms to collect either like when you hit the question mark boxes, they just disappear. Looking forward to the next versions though :)

    Hmmm, the picture looks exactly like a state from Super Mario Bros 1. Is something changed from SMB1?

    when i downloaded it……..there were two folders one said ‘downloaded from pspslimhack’ and the other said ‘main project’ i dont get where is the mario folder???

    look for the application on main project the downloaded from pspslimhacks is just a license or something like that :)

      connect ur psp to pc 
      go to the my computer then in removable disk
      open the PSP folder
      then open the GAME folder
      Put the “Main Project” folder in it
      and u get it!!!
