PSP MAME4ALL v4.9r2 Hires:
TTYman has updated PSP MAME4ALL to version 4.9r2. Good news is I can confirm that unlike the other release I got this working on my PSP Slim. And playing one of my old fav’s Snow Bros, that I used play back in the day down at the local shop before heading of to School. Ah the memories, anyway…
Whats new? Here’s the changelog below.
PSP MAME4ALL v4.9r2 Hires changelog:
* Usermode builds now works.
* Dipswitches settings added.
* Some Z80 core speedups.
* Vector based games like Asteroids now run at native resolution of 480×272 pixels.
* Preliminary memory management to clean-up things in certain romset (due to original MAME bugs) before starting a new emulation.
* In case of memory fragmentation errors emulator now quits without lockups.
* Better sound support in certain games, like Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles etc.
* Graphics themes disabled in 1.50 kernel mode to gain more memory available, used a simple blue gradient instead.
* Graphics mode saved with settings.

I’ve installed the mame4all for psp, when I started the game It says game will not start.Can you tell me what wrong.

I’ve googled this until I’ve run out of pages. I’ve never had a problem insist on annoying me so much. I’ve done everything specified on every forum, downloaded countless clrmame.dats, tried clrmamepro. i Have cfw 3.90 m-33. Every forum ends with someone, like me now, unable to solve the problem.
All i get is
unable to open rom
unable to initialize machine emulation
There must be something……..pleeeeeeaaasseee

does anyone know how to get this to work? it keeps telling me the game cannot start? ive never had this problems with psp emu before.

I’m having a problem starting Captain America and The Avengers, TNMT the Arcade game, and Terminator 2 downloaded from various sites. Other games like Asteroids and Astro Blaster have no problem.
Displayed problem is cannot start emulator. If you know the problem to be the ROMS, can you point me to ones that work?
Help?

Go to http://www.pspiso.com and under the emulator section they have a download for roms specifically for the MAME Psp 4.9 that work. It is a huge file like a gig or so, also go into recovery and change both your clock speed and xmb speed to 333. When starting up a Mame rom make sure to change the speed of the rom to 333 as well and make sure that the video and audio are synced as well.
