The PSP Go will not replace the existing PSP hardware already on store shelves, Sony hardware director John Koller asserted, but will instead complement it. Sony will continue to sell games on UMD discs alongside the downloadable versions, with more disc-based PSP games are coming to the online PlayStation Store as downloads.
I don’t like the position of the joystick… looks like it would give you some cramps.
The current position on the 3000 is more comfortable considering the width of the PSP.
That just looks like your hands would become tired fairly quickly. Plus, knowing Sony, it will have an even harder motherboard to crack than the 3000, especially considering they won’t be using UMD’s (hmm, fishy).
That said, what are people with UMD’s going to do? I hope they don’t expect people to buy this who already own a PSP and a library of UMD’s. I know I wouldn’t (I only have one UMD, I know, I’m cheap).
In any case, I hope it’s better than the 3000, so 5 years from now the current one then will be almost a different console altogether. Progress is usually a good thing in this case. Only, the 4000 could be a “regression”.
