PSP Go is all go. Leaked before the E3 announcement.
Well well, if Sony isn’t releasing another PSP revision. Seems those rumours were true again. As Sony will announce at E3 a new slide UMD-less PSP Go!. This new model does away with the UMD and apots for digital games downloads, and for storage you have a nice large 16GB of flash memory to store your downloaded games, Mp3 music, images and more. The new model also includes bluetooth now so you can pair it up with a bluetooth headset.
Also newly soon to be announced games are coming to the new System – Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Jax and Daxter, and a new portable Metal Gear Solid are all named in this video below:
Edit:
Some interesting questions seem to arise from this design….
1:) No USB port? Looks like an apple Iphone style port on the bottom to be used with docks.
2:) Where are the audio and screen buttons?
3:) Does anyone see a Memory Stick Duo slot? (Edit: I think we can see a flap for the Memory stick)
4:) Looks like it has an internal battery – Bigger / better battery?
5:) No TV out feature??

if sony releases this, then dark alex wont have time to hack psp 3000. T.T
May 31, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Wow! They took the Nub out! Coupled with digital only downloads- That was a dumb idea. Unless they provide me with the software I need to fabricate my of professional quality disks and boxes- I’m definitely not getting this. I have a feeling this will fail badly.
Does anyone know if what it’s specs are?
May 31, 2009 at 3:27 pm
What are you talking about? The nub is directly to the right of the D-pad.

comparing the psp 3000 to the psp go! (psp 4000). the psp 3000 has way more style. I was hoping the new psp 4000 would be more compact, like these designs below…

yeah its really ugly…what was sony thinking??=/
May 31, 2009 at 3:37 pm
This is just the concept, I will most likely look different when they release it. But then again I could be wrong.
May 31, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Nah, it’s pretty much confirmed. There’s a box shot of the GO floating around that also shows the new slim ps3, which is what I’m really looking forward to.
May 31, 2009 at 4:19 pm
IT HAS USB PORT AND MEMORY Stick Duo slot
May 31, 2009 at 4:23 pm
nothing new here, exept for that bluetooth crap. Unless this thing is gonna cost like 100 dollars, it will be totally fail.
May 31, 2009 at 4:44 pm
I also dont like the looks of it. And whats so special about this. 16G? I saw a Mem Stick with 16G for PSP too. and I also dont like the slide style screen
(Slide Screen=Go to Trash easily)
May 31, 2009 at 4:54 pm
confirmed:
1. Memory Stick Micro (left side of the PSP)
2. 3.8 LCD screen
3. 43% lighter than the PSP 3000
4. clock screen saver
5. the USB/battery port under the PSP ( that’s only my opinion, maybe they changed it because of the larger battery capacity like many of the ipods and iphones and maybe transfers files faster and charges quicker, well i hope so)
6. audio button (on my theory there is none. again following the design of the ipods and iphones, that volume can be adjusted with in the user interface.)
still don’t know the battery life =_= lets hope it can compete with the battery of the iphone.
May 31, 2009 at 5:01 pm
The only two things that i like.
1.its lighter
2. longer battery life (I hope)
And a question.. Is there a battery for slim that last longer that the default/ordinary battery of PSP?
Cuz the 2-3 hours of my bat seems not enough for me.
June 1, 2009 at 1:15 am
Try the extended battery, the official one. I can get like 8 hours from it.
May 31, 2009 at 5:05 pm
the price maybe the same as the psp 3000, there is no UMD slot, but they repleced that with a very large memory, bluetooth and a new usb/battery port, plus a more powerful battery. this may be even more expensive than the psp 3000, lets hope not.
May 31, 2009 at 5:24 pm
anyone notice how they released this just after they hacked the 3000? seems fishy to me…
May 31, 2009 at 5:58 pm
It sure is weird, I know. It’s almost as if they are gearing up to unveil it at E3. And as all know, E3 only came into existence after the 3000 was “hacked”.
May 31, 2009 at 6:26 pm
I don’t like it at all. It’s UGLY.
May 31, 2009 at 6:39 pm
horrible !!
May 31, 2009 at 7:53 pm
is sony still going to make games for the 2000 and 1000 series?
May 31, 2009 at 8:11 pm
omfg, this sucks because i just got a psp 3000 and a new awesome psp comes out!!!
May 31, 2009 at 8:22 pm
I saw the video on youtube, and i came to know its real,
but design is flopped,
Even after waiting for a long time, I could not hack my 3000, i feel a shame of myself,
I never buy any products which requires costly games etc,
feeling very bad.
May 31, 2009 at 9:01 pm
it looks like some chinese guy’s home made mp3 player.. u know where they have those fake cheap names.. it looks like a brick game unit. 16gb though.. hmmm. i’ll stick to the original psps.. psp 3000 will be hacked in its due time.. (cso/iso loader wise )
May 31, 2009 at 10:03 pm
PSP Go! Hack it.
May 31, 2009 at 10:14 pm
No touchscreen, no new web browser, and no workaround to play UMD games? What the hell are they thinking? They might as well have upgraded the hardware if it’s already incompatible with 95% of existing games.
June 1, 2009 at 12:09 am
this sick little handheld is most likely to cost $300-350 so you might as well by a pandora handheld, it cost $330, can emulate dreamcast and systems below and they are working on a psp emulator for it, and is about the size of a ds lite, so yeah.
June 1, 2009 at 1:30 am
Pandora is bigger than a DS Lite. It’s pretty much a small laptop with shittier hardware specs running Linux. May as well get a Netbook – not much bigger, better specs and it can emulate anything there’s an emulator for. And you can use any controller you want.
June 1, 2009 at 3:03 am
Yea, I wouldn’t splurge on a Pandora until those emulators actually exist. Until then, the PSP emulates the same stuff.
June 1, 2009 at 1:15 am
Oh yeah where is the TV out then? Have they dropped that feature?
June 1, 2009 at 3:43 pm
the Tv out jack has been replace with the usb
June 1, 2009 at 1:18 am
Ill Buy If Under 250$ and is Hacked
June 1, 2009 at 2:22 am
this would be I think around $300-$400 the 16GBmemory alone is costly,
but i hope they’ll just vend it in $200 or less hehehe,
cause if they sell it like $300+ i’d rather buy PS3
and keep my old PSP,
June 1, 2009 at 2:29 am
I don’t like it at all
June 1, 2009 at 2:41 am
you will like it as soon as you see the games
but not the price lol am sure
we wouldn’t like it at all
June 1, 2009 at 4:31 am
Fugly!!!
June 1, 2009 at 4:47 am
so does this means that only micro sd’s are compatible with psp GO??
or it can still use the pro duo memory stick.
i thought they were going to make PSP GO! with dual analog sticks. im dissapointed wuth the design.
i just hope that dax can make it hackable.
June 1, 2009 at 4:58 am
oh, and one more thing. if it comes out with the OFW 5.50, i think it wont sell that much as slim and brite does.
June 1, 2009 at 6:08 am
It looks really ugly and you know how long it take to Download games and mostlikly the game for the go well ahve better graphics and what not make the size of games much bigger god of war for psp is over a gigabyte it takes for ever to download files of that size. And not to menchun that if you have to download your games you can’t exackly do that at the local starbucks. Ether way I would buy one
June 1, 2009 at 7:22 am
What does this mean? No UMD, but now downloadable with ISO? Or download games at PSN?
June 1, 2009 at 9:24 am
Wouldn’t want one in my ass if I had room for a train.
Plain and simple.
Sony used to be one of the best companies for making slick looking and functional devices. I’m slowly losing respect for one company after another, foregoing Microsoft… as there was no respect to begin with.
June 1, 2009 at 12:46 pm
oh man. i rather buy psp3k than that.
June 3, 2009 at 3:48 am
amen to that brutha..
June 1, 2009 at 5:42 pm
I want 1of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 1, 2009 at 11:06 pm
This thing is f*cking ugly, why couldnt sony have listened to the fans and looked at the artist conceptions, are they serious with this? this is just simply horribly designed
June 2, 2009 at 12:48 am
they should listen what gamers would like to have. we don’t want that.
June 2, 2009 at 2:26 am

June 2, 2009 at 6:28 pm
I think both of the two topics PSP Go Confirmed! Internal 16GB Flash Memory, No UMD and Closer look at the PSP Go. Is it all Go?
has the different images, look on its analog, one topic has a single analog and the other topic picture has two analog,
I think one of it is fake or both are fake
June 2, 2009 at 8:52 pm
Has anyone else seen the picture of this on yahoo? It looks different from this one, the start and select buttons are in a different place.
June 2, 2009 at 9:31 pm

June 8, 2009 at 7:06 am
