3.71 M33-2
Custom PSP Firmware 3.71-M33 update 2 for PSP Slim and Lite and PSP fat.
Requirements:
- A PSP Slim or Fat with 3.71 M33.
Details:
- Adds the ability to change CPU speed, Play PS1 games, play Homebrew games and apps, load legal ISO backups, load CSO’s (Compressed ISO files) and run emulators etc.

- There was a bug that caused corruption when writing files of more than 32256 bytes using usb flash.
The bug has been corrected, and now the implementation is as reliable as it was when it was based on 1.50 kernel.(tested with a full restauration of a dump)- Psp Slim: a functionality to let the charge of battery when connecting a usb cable has been added. This feature is based on Noobz plugin code. By default is not enabled, you can enable it in recovery. Note that the charge of battery may be delayed some seconds since the moment you plug the cable.
- After installing this update, program at /PSP/GAME/UPDATE will always be executed on 3.71 kernel, despite configuration.
- VSHMenu: vshmenu will not be executed when onscreen keyboard is active, to avoid the lost of the select button function in the keyboard. An option to reset the psp has been added.
- VSH plugins are not longer executed anymore in recovery mode, that was the cause of pseudo-bricks.
Note about two bugs remaining:
The WLAN network error, and the PSP Slim psx game change of brightness.
These two bugs are copyright of Sony
happens too in OFW.The WLAN network happens when there is no network available, so not a big problem.

Instructions:
- - Copy the program to /PSP/GAME/UPDATE
- If you have 1.50 addon, make sure you have the kernel of game folder configured to 3.71, or the program will not even start.

when i try to do the update 1.5 it says no need to update your ver. is 1.5

Thats because your running the official 1.50 update. You need to run this in 3.71 M33 custom firmware. Make sure you put the update in the GAME folder and run the M33-2 update ok.

Hey, I a total noob when it comes to installing all this, bought my psp slim two days ago, and it has a fresh 3.71 install downloaded to my psp. Where do I start? Tried installing this and it spit back “The game could not be started. (80020148)

i can play us ans eu psp game under 3.71 m33-2, just hit select scroll down to umd driver, i think and select sony np9660 driver.

I have cfw 3.71 m33-3 on my psp slim, and the newest legal ISO games such as syphon filter logans shadow and manhunt 2 always hang on me when i try to load missions. is this a cfw problem or is it my psp slim problem?

You need to install 3.72 M33 first, this is just an update for 3.72.

Hello all! I would really appreciate some help with my issue… I am planning on getting a PSP Slim soon, and I have come to find out that the firmware can’t be downgraded without messing up things (: ability to update official fw, etc.) and I wanted to run a homebrew app called descent PSP. It is the ported descent game DOS/DX1. Anyway, I wanted to know how I would run it on there without hindering myself from updating the official FW ow screwing the thing up. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey guys, who ever updated 3.80 firmware on there psp slim, can be downgraded. I did it yesterday yes u do need to create a pandora battery and stuff. I can play CSO and ISO files straight from my psp.

hi. I have attempted to upgrade my version 3.71 slim psp using the universal unibreaker easy installer. I am using a mac that runs on leopard and there seem to be some issues. Is there a way to do the upgrade with just the slim psp, a 2G memory card pro duo, and the original slim battery?

hey evry1, luv the site, already helped me so much. i have a fat psp with 3.71 m33-2 on it. i have daedalues and snes and nes emulators but they wont work on my psp. i had 3.30 oe prior to 3.71 m33 -2 and i want 2 know why 3.71 m33 -2 wont let me play these. can any1 help me fix this? do i need a 1.50 kernel installer for 3.71 33-2? if so can u tell me how to install and where 2 get from many thnx in advance.

I bought a 4 GB for my modded PSP Slim w/ 3.71 M33-2. I accidently reset somthing, so it starts that game and doesn’t load/ My 1 GB works, but my 4 GB doesn’t! Can someone tell me what there Recovery Question are set to!
