PSP Firmware 6.30 Released. Papaton 2 Exploit / HBL Patched!

Yep, we knew it was coming and now its all official. Sony have released Firmware 6.30. As expected it has patched all know exploits, Patapon 2 Demo Save Data Exploit. No no more loader. Its alos even patched Datels Action Replay software. So like we always mention and will do so again – Don’t update if you want to continue having fun on 6.20 with the , emulators and homebrew etc. Whats also interesting is it seems Sony is bringing official emulator support to the PSP. PC Engine aka Turbo Grafx 16 and NeoGeo folders have been spotted inside the new firmware..Hmmmm what are you up to Sony? (PC Engine / Neogeo Source: Fist full of potions)

    I started two days ago. After completing lesson 1 on that tutorial I but linux on my computer and spent all day getting all the settings right. So all I have is a hello world. I’m going to work some more tonight. Hey once were better at this we should work on starting a team.

      Maybe. We’d probably be thinking about it later. We’ll be finding many many exploits first, I guess. Most of us are trying to start on C++, though. CFW for Firmware Version 6 will be a step up on difficulty because some PSP modules needed for homebrew have been removed because the PSP didn’t need them. Even a few people claim that most (if not all homebrew has to change.
      By the way, that 6.30 exploit is on a FULL game that you have to purchase at the PSN or at retail stores as a UMD.

      first: this is not a CFW its an OFW
      second by installing this firmware you wont be able run iso’s and cso’s and any homebrew or plugin
      so if u will update then u will be able to run only psn purchased games and umd’s
      so DONT update

    phat (1000) or slim & light (2000) or slim & bright (3000) or psp go?
    CFW depends on what kind of psp u have.

    u have psp 3004 with ofw 6.00.
    well there is no CFW for you now.
    but there is a way to run homerews on your psp (only homebrews like emulators and other stuff not iso’s or cso’s)
    you should update to 6.20 OFW (not 6.30)
    then u should use HBL (half byte loader) to run emulators and other hombrews
    HBL is available in here read the instructions:

    and dont worry there is no way to brick your psp using HBL

      Is it possible to downgrade to my previous version after i update to 6.20 n install HBL.Because if i upgrade to 6.20 as u said,what to do if this site releases CFW to my model?

        You do not have to have 6.20 firmware to run HBL, kirangem16. HBL supports all firmware up to 6.20.

        but if there will be a CFW im sure it will be 6.20 as long as HBL is working with 6.20 so no need to worry about that
        but ilke Side Scoop Said u can run HBL on 6.00 so its up to you if you want to update or not

    yes you must download patapon 2 demo and the hacked save game without it u cant run HBL

    i was dumb and my lil bro updated my pspgo to 6.30… but i have the patapon3 demo if this will help us 6.30 users in any sort of way…. and im going 2 buy the patapon 3 game so if tht will help ill b glade to give it away some how

    Guys! I found a video that has some kind of CFW on psp 3000 6.20. I dont know if this is real or not. Some people say it bricked psps but others said it works. Source:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GSzQnZfayc. It included even a link to CFW. I tried it but nothing happend(thankfully) Maybe i did something wrong. But if you want to try this go ahead.

    No, mostly 98% of all the videos are fake, because we don’t have a kernel exploit. So don’t get your hopes up high my friend.

        @PSP Bricker Hey I was wondering if you could help me. I want to buy games from the PSN Store but it says that I am required to update my firmware. But I know if I update to OFW 6.30 I will not be able to use HBL to run homebrew anymore. Is there any workaround for this? Thanks in advance.

    there is no workaround unfortunately …..
    one of 6.30 OFW main goals is to block people from using HBL…
    and now sony are trying to make games work only on 6.30 OFW …
    they are tryin hard to get rid of homebrew
    I recommend not to update because there is a great future waitin or HBL
    there is an ISO loader that is in development right now and many other things
    i dont use PSN myself (no one uses PSN in my county) but try to download older games if u like any of them
    they might work
    i dont know much about PSN if you want ask hacktester he might help you
    but if u have a hackable psp (wich im sure you dont have :) ) then u can do whatever you want

    @PSP Bricker Well thanks anyway man, it isn’t possible to access the PSN Store without being on the latest OFW (6.30). So I’m going to update to it since there’s no point owning a PSP Go and having no games on it. I just really wish they could get homebrew running on the latest version of PSP, that way it can be the best of both worlds.
