Is Firmware 6.00 due this week? That’s the question, and by the looks of it yes it will be out according to a comment made by Allison Walter of Nippon Ichi Software America. The below comment was made when replying to fan’s comment of the Holy Invasion Of Privacy Badman demo.

Hi Killzone_Kid! This is what has been decided for the Badman demo: we’re going to re-release it next Thursday, 10 Sept, by which time Firmware 6.0 should have been released. Sorry for the wait!

I read somewhere that it is patching all kernel exploits that has been known till now (even the one that hasn’t been released) so thats from one side good for 5.51 /5.50/5.55 users that have 3k or ta088v3(because these kernel exploits can be released )but its rather upleasant for the future development

Exploits for 5.51 ofw is needed by allot of the masses by the way with 6.00 ofw now expect big things R3 new cfw new custom themes the world of psp is a great one at that. I have once heard that the ONLY reason to stop homebrew is because they stand by this:

OFW 6.0 to be release September 10, here is the changelog provided by PS3-Sense.nl who happens to be reliable in most cases.
“PSP firmware 6.00 changelog:
Playstation Store Games can now be grouped and displayed in folders based on their expire date under [GAME]
Importing of playlist from the Media GO! applications is now supported under Music
Under [Settings] – [Network Update] has been chnaged to [System Update]
The number of Colors that can be selected under [Settings] > [Theme Settings] has been increased
In [Display Panel Close Options] under [Settings] > [System Settings], the design for the [Standard] oprion has been changed
The PSP Go! system can now connect to the Internet via a Bluetooth modem such as a mobile phone”
