PSP Firmware 6.00

PSP Released.

The crew didn’t waste any time, as they have finished decrypting PSP Firmware 6.00. Hopefully this means we will have a new CFW on the way. Which would no doubt be called Custom Firmware 6.00 GEN-A. Although reading the comment below, there is no public 6.00 GEN release planned…

        Well I gather they mean that they will be doing some internal beta testing before a public release?? But Its a bit confusing.

      Well let me know right now we are still waiting for new ChickHen R3 Release for working with Firmware 6.0 you know, because right now are PSP Model are working with series 3000 and 3010 you know.
      Let me know keep comment and right now have some changes.

    when will be the custom firmware 6.00 gen coming out, because right now i can’t play my iso games on psp.My psp version is 5.50. Can anybody help me with that.

    question…… will it work for psp 3000 ofw 5.5xx units or anather cfw for 1000&2000 only

      i dont think GEN can be the first to make a stand-alone CFW for PSP 3000.
      your only hope for a stand-alone CFW for PSP brite is DAX, but he already said in the past that he can’t hack it. too bad for you.

    please excuse me because i’m new to this psp thing. i’ve recently bought a psp 3000, and it has firmware 5.50, is there any custom firmware out that would allow me to run homebrew and iso’s??

      Datel has made a tool battery for psp 3000 so yes it has cfw capabilities.

    It’s kinda sad how so many people KEEP asking about the psp-3000 being hacked… Maybe if they paid more attention they would KNOW if it’s hacked or not, and not have to ask meaningless questions. If the psp-300 is hacked, I’m willing to bet they will let you know, in big bold words, “HEY! WE HAVE THE 3000 HACKED! COME GET IT!” Asking only makes people more annoyed cause they keep getting the same question.

    hi guys.. i’m in deep prob now.. actually its my silliness…. i updated my new psp 3000 (i buy less den a month).. i updated my psp to ver 6.00 using psp wifi… so.. now how to settle dat… guys… huhuh… now i have to buy UMD to play… damn expensive here… any solution…??

      The best we can do now is wait. I am not sure if they will release a 6.00 GEN either.
      My PSP came with 6.00 so there is nothing i can do but not update.

    My psp type was 2002. I can’t play my iso now. Is there any ways to hack it? Is it already released? Me too will wait eagerly.

      No, you will have to wait for a method to install custom firmware on 6.00 OFW
      I, for one at least, have not heard of any estimated release dates for the 6.00 GEN

        Hi, I’m new in this site. I hear that CFW 6.0 will be released but still its been months and still waiting for it to be released. I have PSP 3001 with a OFW 6.0, is there any body will help me how to downgrade my OFW 6.0 to OFW 5.03 so that it can be upgraded to 5.03 Gen CFW.
