Sony have released Official PSP Firmware 5.03,well we have no comments on exactly what this does. It seems there are no updates or added features other than to fix a security vulnerability found in the latest PSP system software revision? Hmmm that sounds like they have patched the Gripshift savegame exploit / hack for the PSP-3000. So if I was a PSP-3000 owner I wouldn’t jump on the bandwagon and download this.

the 5.03 block the pandoras battery,
i have a pandoras battery and magic stick but when i upgrade my psp to 5.03 it dosnot worked and i searched on the internet and saw that the version 5.03 blocks the pandoras battery and dont leave you to downgrade it. hope somebody finds something to downgrade

yes if you want you can try to downgrade, but when i upgrade it to 5.03(by mistake) and insert pandoras battery and magic stick the psp turn on automatically but dont read the magic stick and i tryed on another psp with 4.01 and it worked, after a bit i tryed it on another psp with 5.03 and comes the same, with nothing. the 5.03 sucks and dont upgrade it to 5.03, if somebody find how to downgrade pls tell me and good luck for your psp hope for you to downgrade it

I donwgraded from 5.03. Although when I put in the mms and battery, it turned on but there was no screen image. So I got pissed and just pressed X. then my memory stick light started flashing so I decided, “I’ll just see what it does, hope it doesnt brick it!” Then my psp shut off. I turned it back on and I had cfw(3.71m33)

that game is CSO file,,
and i cant play CSO file the same with ISO file,,
i cant play it too..

Well I was able to downgrade my TA-88 Slim from 5.03 to 5.00m33-6. Used the same procedure I always use to downgrade. I guess this applies to certain slims I guess.

you can still downgrade it. I had a 5.03 firmware and i just downgrade it to 4.01 mm LOl haha u guys suck. You need to buy a mms and a pandora u cant create it if you dont have a custon firmware. I bought mines at pandorasales.com

Ok, all I am hearing is people asking about the how to undo the 5.03. Does this problem only deal with the 3k, or both the 2k and 3k? I saw where someone said they undid the upgrade. What model did they have to work with? All I hear is why, why and poor me, nothing about what can we do to resolve anything. I am new to owning the PSP and want to learn all I can, bu in the confusion of this room nothing is happening fast.

listen, all i can say is about the 2k because i only experiment on 2k till now. i find that some of psp 2k with 5.03 yes you can downgrade but some of them no.
i dont know why but i think that the latest 2k have something similar to 3k obout software. pls take care when you upgrade because not all the psp can dwngrade.

listen my friend…… 1st to dwn grade your psp you need a pandoras battery and a magic stick, if you want you can search on youtube and see how to make a ms and pb , but if you have ofw (original firmware) 5.03 you cant downgrade. be carefull and NEVER update it 5.03
