PSP Firmware 4.05 Released

Sony have released PSP Firmware 4.05. Don’t get excited its nothing special…. Just some new music player visual effects. Heres the huge changelog:

* New effects have been added to the visual player under [Music"].

I guess Divx support was and will always be just a rumor.

    to those who cry that this 4.05 doesn’t work with isos: u are blind or stupid! this are the news about official firmware update which logicaly can not play isos! google for cfw 4.05 if there is one,the m33 is at 4.01 for good reason.
    other points: to patch a ofw psp u NEED a pandora battery to get into service mode,just the magic stick wont help you!also you cant get into recovery menu with ofw!
    to make a pandora battery,u need a psp with cfw(phat or older slim) or u make one by opening the battery as

    OR you buy a pandora battery. Just google for all that stuff.

    and NO, slim battery is NOT a pandora! who told that is completely dumb.

    I hope, i wrote everything down to answer all the questions here.

    Hey guys, i’ve recently bought a psp slim, august 18th, and now i’d like to make it to CFW 4.01 m33.
    I have the pandora battery, and several programs that’ll make my memory card into a magic memory.

    But, i’d like to have a guide of how i do it and in wich order, is there anyone that could help me out?

    god… some here, 4.05. cannot play game now. Guess got to wait for Dark Alex to come up with 4.05m33… instead of what pandora battery. To be honest, i dont know what is pandora battery about. I have tried many website to guide how to downgrade it. But all about the “Pandora Battery”.

    hmm… its doesnt work. Dont know what should do now. Guess with the ofw 4.05 out there, is so pissed off and feel really bad. NEVER update OFW again, only CFW. There are so many games(iso)i’ve just dl, and half way with “Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII”. Now.. cant even play.. really upset…

    I bought my psp around a week ago, It has a factory installed firmware of 4.01. I tried hacking it , but the screen stays black when I insert the Pandora’s battery. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong? I was told that my psp may have a newer motherboard that is unhackable Thanks

    So let me get this straight…..there IS a custom firmware for 4.05 yet or not? I see people posting that they cant find a downgrader for it, but no one has figured out a way to mod it yet? Second question are there pandora batteries specifically customized for the psp 1000? Also, what purpose does the magic memory serve?

    As far as i know you can’t downgrade from 4.05 just yet, you will just have to sit and wait. hopefully not too long as im wanting a cfw 4.05.

    I have one of the first fat ones, I dont think there is any way yet but if you have 4.05 on it aready you will have to wait until a updated cfw comes out higher than 4.05 or a downgrader for 4.05.
    Im lucky because i havent upgraded yet so i can still use my downloads, I need a cfw 4.05 because i have downloaded some games from my ps3 to my psp and it says i need to upgrade to 4.05.

    New psp such 2000 & 3000 that has the new MOBO (TA-88 Type) or any NEw PSP that came with 4.1 OFW when purchased are none unHackable for now.

    Any PSP that has CFW before that upgraded to OFW 4.1 can still dowgraded to any CFW using pandora battery.

    So we just need to sit tight and wait for DA and M33 to released new hacks.

      hey scythe it is in spanish and it says that u can downgrade it thanks to darkalex with out using a magic memory stick or pandoras battery but it sounds 2 good 2 be true i wouldnt try it because there is no cfw 4.05 M33 yet or not that i can find but keep looking

    With out pandora battery i try make pandora battery with my first psp and i defeted it and then i hate pandora,, but i send my psp to service and they send me new psp.
