To sadz> First download them (can’t tell you where check google) then throw them in the rom folder UNZIPPED btw and then run it, and you will need custom firmware ask a psp forum for that.
To carlo> Go to the options and set up frame skipping higher and see if that helps other wise wait for a higher version of the emulator.

Im really don’t have a fine knowledge of how this stuff works. It really confuses me. And everyone seems to have different ways of doing it. Basically what I did was put the the 3.x folder in the GAME folder of the PSP Slim. Am I doing something wrong? Im running on firmware 3.60 do I need to downgrade?
November 17, 2007 at 6:22 pm

November 17, 2007 at 7:52 pm
I have the same problem as Juan problem 800201. I have a psp slim with the original firmware 3.60. What is wrong??
December 8, 2007 at 9:48 pm
The firmware on PSP slims have to be downgraded in a special process involving a PSP fat, I have just purchased a 3.6 PSP and am running into this problem. Check out http://www.noobz.eu for more information on this and a surprising amount of other things, it has helped me wrap my head around downgrading. Haven’t tried a hack on any console in a long, long while.

I’m a little confused as to which mode to run in it. I would guess mode 0 since that says optimized, but do I need hardware optimization to make it run smoother?
December 24, 2007 at 5:06 am
if you custom firmware make a folder in psp foler named game360
if you have 3.60m33 game371 if you have 3.71m33 game150 if you have psp offical 1.50 firmware

What mode would you suggest I run it on?
I have psp slim&lite with 3.71 m33-2
I played final fantasy 4, and it just freezes occasionally so I have to either reset or load saved state :S Any advice?
And I am running it from ?:\PSP\GAME folder, would it work differently if I put it in game150 folder?
Lots of questions, but I am sort of new in this business ^^

Hello. For those new users of custom firmware don’t know you need custom firmware to run emulators. If you have a slim psp you do not have to have a fat psp to install custom firmware. All you do is open up your battery and cut a line, then install the firmware, and draw a pencil line on your psp battery line where you cut it. Also to put this emulator on your psp go to my computer, click on your psp drive, click on the folder labeled PSP,then click in the folder called GAME. NOT GAME150 or GAME371. Now unzip the downloaded file you downloaded from here. and copy everything to that folder on the psp. If everything is not in one folder put it in one then copy it to the psp. Also please don’t download commerical roms. People worked hard on those and you are just stealing them if you do. You wouldnt’t go into Gamestop and steal a game so don’t do it on the internet. Thanks

Wow. Do you guys not read the posts previous to yours? Your PSPs probably have official firmware. You guys need to move it to custom firmware (ie NOT OFFICIAL firmware) before any emulators will run. But for your (PSP’s) sake I suggest you dont make the shift because you’ll have a lot of reading (even if its just the readme files) to do before you get the homebrew to work and that will probably mess up your PSPs because you did not read the instructions properly.

can anyone verify the new version?
have had trouble with phat and slim netplay, it works but only the phat displays video, still controllable through the slim though. some games both display video, but seems the slim greatly slows the game down. and the phat loads games twice as fast as the slim.
anyone else get same problems
May 28, 2008 at 12:33 am
where do i put the roms..
May 29, 2008 at 12:50 am
Yes, just like Kazaler said. In order to run emulators or other homebrew on your PSP, you will need to install custom firmware (CFW). You will either do one of two things to install CFW:
1) Borrow a friend’s PSP that already has CFW and use that to install CFW (google about it)(also is the easier method).
2) Use the Pandora’s Battery method (google about it) which requires you to open up a spare PSP battery and cut a circuit on the board inside the battery.
If you have any questions or need more guidence on how to install CFW, e-mail me at thecomputerguy4@msn.com or talk to me on MSN Messenger (add me with my e-mail).

Hm… Well, is there a such thing as an SNES-PSP emulator that can run on official firmware? There’s got to be some way to make it work.

I have PSP Slim fw 3.90-M33-3, I installed snes9xtyl-me fw 3.x , when I load a rom and I go back to the menu and try to load another rom I got a message saying there’s a memory issue and cannot initialize the rom. I just can load another rom if I leave the emulator and load it again. Also in Secret of Mana it just freezed with me and I had to remove the battery. Does anyone have a clue?

July 19, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Ive got a psp slim that plays iso files off of the memory stick. i want to play the nes games with the emulator. i have everything but cant make it work. i dont know any of the specs but hope someone can help me make it work?
July 24, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Don’t bother with this emulator! They haven’t perfected it so it’ll lag, the sound quality sucks and lag, and its has major issues! Along with the other snes emulators! Wait a year or so, till they fix these issues. Until then play iso files or a GBA emulator (which works surprisingly well for a emulator) or if u wunt to play old classic games get a homebrew game or get popsloader and play psX games. Easier and less trial and error u’l have to go through
August 1, 2008 at 3:32 pm
I agree. For a SNES emulator, this is actually pretty terrible. It just doesn’t make sense as to why there isn’t a perfect SNES emulator for PSP out there, considering the console is 16 years old.. possibly older.
Do not waste you time with this piece of crap. Horrid..
May 4, 2009 at 6:59 pm
You are right .It is so slow that it is unplayable.Shame it is not working right. My phone is runing this games with no problem.I tried 10 most popular games and only mario is playable.

I have a PSP SLIM w/ CFW 3.90 M33 and have set te CPU speed to 333 in the recovery menu(not the VSHmenu on XMB). Whenever I run a zipped game it hangs and the memory card LED lights up and then the PSP shuts down. What could be the problem?
