PSP Custom Firmware 6.39 ME-8 Beta 2 for PSP Go

Backing up his promise to owners, has released Custom Firmware 6.39 -8 for PSP Go owners (05g). This has all the features of 6.39 ME-8 and this release is a beta 2 which fixed the UMD video cache issue. Originally this CFW was only intended for up to PSP Slim TA-088v2′s/ However the custom firmware ME has progress to the state Nuer0n was able to port it over to the Go.

    but… I don’t really have a reason to switch, with the main difference being ISO videos… which I don’t use :/

    Plus I’d have to update the CXMB plugin…

    5.00gen c has compatible w/ all homebrew and iso backups (for those who dont know)

      5.00 gen c – There is NO such thing
      5.03 gen-c – Yes and its is FAR from compatible with ALL HB or Plugins much less ISO/CSO’s

        i’ve had 5.03 gen c since it came out… its compatible w/ ALL hb, emulators isos/cso..minis and psx without the need for ANY loader… just pop it straight into ur game/iso folder
        all plugins (that arnt version excusive) work….
        can i get someone who knows what theyr talking about…. i feel like this guy is new to the scene
        i was asking for someone thats tried both

      its lite CFW – no psp with or after the TA088v3 can currently have full CFW and that obviously includes the GO

        The go runs fine with permanent 6.20 PRO-B8.

      go has a newer motherboard called TA088v3 just like the 3000 and new 2000 that prevents the use of pandora battery
      ( used to enter recovery mode) and enable full CFW
      its like using HEN or TN pro…. sorry if i wasnt an asshole that knows nothing like this guy but these are the facts
      note: i tested it myself on my spare psp go

        Hahaha the ignorant PRO Hacker: let’s educate and elucidate, the later 2k had the v3 mobo (TA088v3) which did not negate the pandora at all but did circumvent the loading of custom ipl’s (now breached with leaked service mode code); the TA090v1 and 2 were the first to prevent the current pandora (although a varient is known – datels pandora and mms) the TA094 (known as the 4000) does the same as does the N1000 in the go although that’s not proven due to the go having an internal battery… Live and learn!

      ive installed the psp cf 6.35.. but the psp screen keeps vibrating n d psp is slow and it hangs… ny solution??

    Is it possible to watch UMD Video ISO’s on your PSP go? I’m trying to accomplish this but am not able to do so.

    Using the VSH menu, I select the umd video iso, but after that I don’t think it’s possible to launch it…..Does anyone know anything about this?

      try looking for that movies as a mp4… it works and its less data

      Yes, neuron has made this possible now. Get the 2g version spoofer plugin from neurons twitter & you can use umd video iso’s on your GO with this lcfw.

        Wow, it actually works! Can’t believe my PSP go is playing UMD videos lol.
        I have like over 100 umd videos on my HDD. Gonna enjoy them :P

      Uhm…. Push X on the mounted iso. Don’t push O or select and don’t push X on any other menu in the VSH menu. Then it will reboot and there you go.

    Help, i was good at cfw and that before, when i go into games and open the launcher or the installer it says something, one of them it says some numbers and error, the other says it requires something 6, thats all i remember, im running 6.37 OFW psp GO. HELP ASAP PLZ!

    Hey kinda off topic i have a psp 3000 just bought a go because wanted it. i have cfw on the psp 3000 just curious what is best cfw for psp go for isos and all that jazz

      well for (early and non go) 3000 5.000 Gen-C plays ALL iso/cso minis homebrew games ect
      as for go…. im not to sure because each lcfw have differnt compatabilities that you can google
      so as for your question… is based off your opinions and what you want

      get this for go, it works with everything i have tried, if u want i can give u the download links for the ones that i used, i usually get stuff that doesnt work, i can help you with seplugins if u dont know how to use them, also with tempar or nitepr or cwcheat if u like hacking in games, i actually like playing renegade squadron(elite squadron sucks)normally, but if there is a hacker i press that mute button and rape them.

    love this cfw, my first for psp go, plays all my iso and cso games and homebrew, actually for some wierd reason i could play homebrew without cfw enabled, i downloaded the homebrew after installing cfw but works even if i am not running the cfw(maybe its a hen aswell?). works great with tempar and stuff.

    Can ANYONE make an STEP by STEP INSTRUCTION video or list. I got a PSP GO nothing has been done to it as far as hacking and i dont want to screw this thing up…How do you install this CFW version into the PSP GO? TY (im a bit new to this and dont got alot of money so i want this to work the first time)

      I would LOVE to help you! Its very simple, first update to 6.39 OFW if you don’t have it using the update thing, then download this, if you don’t have winrar or winzip just click http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar401.exe for 32 bit English, that works on 64 bit operating systems as well. Then open it and you will see first a folder called pspcfw, open that and you will see GAME, now plug in your psp go and you will see some folders such as mp_root, music. picture, PSP, and video, open PSP, there should be many folders there, one of them is also called game, drag and drop from the zip folder, the folder called game into PSP on your psp go, then click yes when it asks you if you want to merge files. Now when its done copying over the cfw, exit usb mode, then go to where you have your games and click the installer, then press x when it asks you if you want to install, then wait a few seconds and then your psp will restart, then start the launcher that you also downloaded when you got the installer, then the psp starts in cfw 6.39 LME-8, go to the left on your vhs and go to system properties, go as far down as you can, then click system information, then it should say 6.39 LME-8! Now if you hold down L+R i think it is to open recovery mode while turning your psp on, change your cpu speed to 333, then it will be 50% faster! TADAH! reply if you want help with gamehacks or installing seplugins or ISO or CSO games or homebew. Everytime you start your psp you will need to start the launcher all the time.

    I have a psp go with 6.35 pro on it and wanna get away from lcfw but its been ages since i last installed firmware on my psp, can anyone give me a heads up on how to do this safely without too much risk of bricking :/
