PSP Custom Firmware 6.20 PRO-B5 and 6.35 PRO-B5 *Updated*

& The Team, have updated the PRO-B5 releases. Seems yesterday’s release had a PSX error “The game could not be started (FFFFFFFF)”, black screens and install issues. Our -B5 and 6.35 PRO-B5 downloads below have been updated. Please re-download your chosen PRO-B5 CFW to fix any issues…

aka Virtuous flame and Coldbird have released their PRO-B5 custom for 6.20 and 6.35. This release has a big list changes and the features of this are listed below. Install this from either OFW 6.20 or 6.35. Or upgrade from PRO-B4 6.20 Perm. Above there is a quick preview video below which shows you some of the features and settings in 6.20 PRO-B5 available.

      NO!!!! YOU MUST UPGRADE TO 6.20 OR 6.35 OFW FIRST. IF YOU GO WITH 6.20 OFW USE 6.20 PRO-B5 IF YOU GO WITH 6.35 OFW USE 6.35 PRO-B5. PLACE ALL IN THE GAME FOLDER AND RUN THE UPDATE.

        i was uninstalling pro b5 6.20 perma and my psp froze wheni pressed x so i took out my battery and wen i turn on my psp my mms loads and a blank screen appears and my psp goes off after 30 seconds if i dont insert my mms it still gives a blank screen and goes off.
        psp 3004 pls help the recovery menue dosnt work.
        and not even ofw or emergency uninstall

        I have been on 500.m33 for over 2 years and can play any game that comes out, what does he inferno driver do tat m33 doesn’t ?

      To be honest, I wouldn’t upgrade because 6.20Pro and 6.35Pro from what I have been reading are not 100% yet or at lease close to being 100%. I have not tried to upgrade yet, but why should I upgrade when I can do everything that this new CFW can’t or is in the process of doing. I can play any game that has recently been released, including games that have been out for some time now. I can play any PSX game and all my emulators and I am running 5.03 Prometheus-v4 on my PSP 3001. Any new plugins that just came out they all work with no problems. Even games that require OFW 6.20 or higher, I can still play with out having to use Prometheus ISO loader. I don’t see why the need to upgrade. Of course that’s just my opinion, and it all depends on what PSP you have like the PHAT 1001 or Slim 2001 or Brite 3001. For those that just got PSP 3001′s(by the way there is no PSP 3002,3,4,5 or 6 Its all the same the only difference are the motherboards) with OFW 6.20 already installed, then I understand why you would want to use 6.20 or 6.35 because you can’t downgrade, so yeah its a good idea for the newer psp’s, but not for the old ones.

      ITS ONLY PERMANENT IF YOU RUN THE PERMANENT PATCH AFTER THE UPDATE.

      you should stay on the firmware that you are on the iso loader is integrated into the hen, so there is no need to worry if your iso loader will play your favorite games

        Thanks. I noticed that this is not a permanent CFW like 6.20 PRO-B5 and I currently have installed 6.35 v21 and CWCheat doesn’t work with that one. So I just continue to load 6.35 PRO-B5 in order to use CWCheat. I like to keep both CFW’s because with PRO-B5 I can use CWCheat but some of my old-school console emulators don’t work but they do work with 6.35 v21 so all is good. Thanks again, you guys rock.

      I RAN THE PRO-B5 UPDATE WHILE ON TN-E AND ALL IS WELL FOR ME. IN FACT FOR SEPERATE REASONS I USE BOTH!!! (3001 3g) I JUST DIDNT MAKE PRO-B5 PERMANENT.

        don’t have idea what are you talking.. anyway,try to download this [PSP]Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep[ENG][FULL] by NitrogenUA…Extract KHBBS.iso from archive to ISO folder on your Memory Stick… works fine..or try to disable any plugins…and use inferno driver…overclock xmb-game 333/166…

    i have just updated 6.20 pro-b5 perm on my psp from pro-b4. b5 runs all my games except Dissidia 012 duodecim (worked on b4 perfect). tried a new iso, still no go. downgraded to b4 and it wont work. am i the only one having problems like this?? :p

      I’m Having this problem too, My 012 Dissidia works, but my 160hour file says it’s corrupted and won’t read, plus the sound shuts off till i Leave the game or load a new file…I came from 5.00 M33-6, I’d really want to know if that’s fixable

      It won’t brick unless you do something stupid with it. But if you don’t know much about PSPs and the dangers of CFW, you shouldn’t install this, just stick with 6.35 PRO

      WORKS FINE ON 6.20 PRO-B5. IVE HEARD 6.35 HAS A FEW ISSUES. BUT 6.35 PRO-B6 (WHICH IS COMMING SOON) IS SUPPOSED TO FIX ALL THOSE PROBLEMS. I DONT KNOW. ALL I CAN SAY IS MAYBEY TRY M33 OR NP9660. GOOD LUCK:)

    Uhm..how do I install this, I’ve got 6.35 ofw installed at the moment, I copied the proupdate eboot file into the UPDATE folder on my psp2000 and tried to run but it says corrupt data. soz for bein total noob -_-, thanks

    idk if its cuz sony is still getting it slowly back online or if its the firmware but I cant seem to sign into psn of 6.35 pro b5(psp 2001) I get a dns error or whatever. Is it the firmware or because of the recent problem??

      THEY ARE BLOCKING CUSTOM FIRMWARES NOW. AND NOT ONLY THAT THEY ALSO WANT YOU TO UPGRADE TO 6.38. I TRIED BUT WAS DENIED, SWITCHED TO OFFICIAL FIRMWARE AND THEY ASKED ME TO UPDATE MY FIRMWARE.

    Hi. So the other day I finally got myself a PSP from eBay and subsequently upgraded the firmware to the 6.35 OFW then to CFW 6.35 PROB, then to this PROB5 all to play my old Tombraider II PS1 game (which I have converted to an EBOOT image with PSX2PSP). SO far so good. However, when I try and play it, it will not load. The error on screen is ‘The game could not be started. (80020148). I have tried again with a UMD disk in the drive, a different ISO mode in the recovery menu and non to any avail. Has anyone got any other suggestions?

    I got 6.20 Pro B5 to work on My PSP, however when I shut it off the CFW goes away, is there a way to make it so that the CFW stays on my PSP. It is rather frustrating.

    I used to keep up to date with PSP CFWs but I haven’t been playing on my PSP recently. I am still on 5.50 GEN-D3. I was wondering how I would update from where I am too this CWF?

      Well you first have to Update your Firmware to the Original (Official) 6.20 or 6.35, then you plug in your PSP into your CPU, place the PROUPDATE, The Fast Recovery and the Perm Patch folders in to your GAME folder inside the PSP folder. Then get outta USB mode and head to Game then to Memory Stick Boot the PRO UPDATE first, then press X when you enter it.

      (Mines has this problem where after it finishes or after I exit a game, I need to take out my memory stick and wait for my PSP too boot back up again. so if nothing happens after you finish the CFW Update, try taking out Memory stick before turning off your PSP.)

      After You finish getting your CFW onto your PSP and it’s booted up again. DON’T TURN IT OFF or you’ll lose the CFW. instead go to Memory Stick in the Game menu and Boot up the PRO PERMANENT BOOTLOADER (PRO-B Permanent Patch. when it boots up you’re gonna be asked to things, on the Question you press X (Yes), on the Second O (No).

      (You may have to take out your memory stick again if nothing happens…just sayin)

      There ya have it, you should have the Mod now! Enjoy!

      CAUTION: THIS CFW IS CURRENTLY IRREVERSIBLE, USE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION……plus whatever 012 Dissidia file you have before will be corrupted….which really blows…

      First dl ofw 6.35 then update ur psp by copying eboot.pbp to PSP>GAME>UPDATE folder. Note: u have to create the update folderin CAPS. Now run it on ur psp and it will update. Then dl 6.35 pro and copy the folders AS IS to the PSP>GAME folder. Now run the update and voila!

    Um… I tried it and after I got done using I reset it to see if it was perm (after PERMANENT patch) and it didn’t work, is this a glitch? :( I also don’t have a pandora battery, does it need that to be perm.? if not I can make one…

      Nvm. I had to press O after permanent patch question and it worked. Now I have another problem. Everytime I put my 8gb memory card it turns on with the memory stick light blinking then the light just stays on, and then my psp shuts down. Why is that?

    PSP-3001
    6.20 PRO-B5 Permanent
    16GB Sandisk

    all CSO/ISO work fine, and even the CPS1 emulator runs great, but the CPS2 one crashes (Phat Version CPS2PSP 2.3.1) or gives me an error “This requires 5.00M33 or above” and exists out of the emulator (Slim version CPS2PSP 2.3.1)
