PSP CFW 5.00 M33-4 Released!
Dark Alex has released PSP Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-4. CFW 5.00 M33-4 brings various bug fixes as well as a new shut down option from the VSH menu. Great for quickly turning off your PSP.
Changes:
- Speed selected for umd/iso was not properly locked in some new games that used scePower_EBD177D6 instead of scePowerSetClockFrequency to change speed.
- UMD/ISO speed settings now apply to PSN games too.
- Fixed libupdown.prx connecting to dark-alex.org instead of sony when npsignin_plugin checks for a new version and m33 update is enabled.
- Iso file descriptor was not closed in driver deletion
- Added a shutdown command to vshmenu.

Why In The World Whould U Ask A shop keeper??? and do u relly think he whould tell u if it chould be hacked i meen relly.. the most likely thing he whould of done is call the police becuase hacking psp is illegal(I Think) and to awnser ur question it depends what type of psp u have if u have a brand new slim 1 that is brand new u cannot only ones tht u can do are the fat and sliver slims. If u have the new psp 3000 ur fucked lol u gota buy a datal light blue battery witch sony is trying to get rid of i think that they sued datal for makeing that battery

You guys are unbelievably stupid. Hacking your psp isn’t illegal. It’s pissing me off when you morons think that Datel has the only batteries you can buy. How about you mod your own battery? Did you even know you could do that? To top this, there are like 4 people above me who don’t even know how to mod their psp. You can’t just drag it on your memory stick and run it.

come on let me explain all you can update 3.90 m33-3 to 5.00 m33-4 first download the original eboot.pbp 5.00 that is sized 25mb and then download the 5.04 m33-4 in this site and then rename the original 5.00 into 500.pbp and then leave the 5.00 m33-4 named as eboot.pbp and then place the two files in one folder named UPDATE and then paste it in x:>\psp\game where x is the psp location. and then run the m33-4 update. NOTE: you should have 80-100% battery when updating..

Ok so i have 5.03 OFW.. and I downloaded the CFW above.. (5.00m33-4)
I got the 5.00 OFW and renamed the eboot to 500.. and I put it in the Update folder.. then I put update folder on memory stick.. what do i Do now?

Hey guys. You all seem very helpful. I am kind of new to psp modding etc. I have a 3.8 Firmware and i see all this stuff on youtube like GB Emulators and PSPtube etc. I saw the 5.00 firmware Version too. But i downloaded it and im kind of lost on how to upgrade from my 3.8 to 5.00. I was also wondering how people change their theme on psp. I want some sick anime theme but I dont know how to go about it. If anyone can help with themes, upgrading from 3.8 to 5.00, emulation or anything like that please let me know. Sorry for being so broad but I hope this post can be helpful to others after me who look on this site too. =]

i downloaded the file “DARK-ALEX” has submitted. But i have PSP original Software 5.03(my psp is not modded). Will it be chabged to M33 as soon as I update is done? And is there any risk?

1.OK first download the file
2. Then but the entire file into the PSP/GAME folder
3. After that extract the folder you just placed in inside of the PSP/GAME folder
4. In the new folder…open it and there WILL be an update folder. pull that folder out so it is by itself inside the PSP/GAME folder.
5. NOW IT WILL WORK WHEN YOU START UP YOUR PSP. IT WILL BE WHERE YOUR NORMAL ISOS ARE AND CLICK ON IT AND FOLLOWER THE DIRECTIONS.
6. HAVE SOME FUNNNSSS!!!
