Yes .cso games will work. You’ll need Custom firmware 3.60 M33 first, before you can run this update on the PSP Slim. Otherwise it wont work.

i have 3.60 on my slim and i downloaded both files updater 3.71 and M33CFW 3.71 and i put them both in my game folder but when i go to it they both say corrupted data? and i re-downloaded them and tried again but nothings working?

Chris: You need to have 3.60-M33 (Custom Firmware) on the PSP Slim first to upgrade to 3.71-M33

You don’t need version 3.60 M33 to upgrade the SLIM to 3.71…If you have OFW 3.71 you can upgrade to 3.71 M33 using the pandora’s battery because I did it last night =]. Right here I will Explaine how. YOU NEED A PANDORA’S BATTERY TO DO THIS AND A PSP SLIM AND A CFW PSP WITH 3.52 M33-4 THAT CAN RUN HOMEBREW!!

First download the files needed. The .rar will say “PSP SLIM Unbricker” YOUR PSP SLIM DOES NOT HAVE TO BE BRICKED FOR THIS TO WORK! IT CAN HAVE OFW 3.60 or 3.71 ON IT AND BE WORKING JUST FINE!

This FW Installer/Unbricker is universal and will work on both PSP Fat and PSP SLIM.

Now Format the memory stick PRO duo with the either PSP, SLIM or the CFW doesn’t matter which.

After you extract the PSP SLIM Unbriker you will see one folder named “Despertar_Cementrio”. Open that folder and copy the whole folder “Pandora’s Unbricker SLIM” into x:/PSP/GAME and make sure your CFW PSP is set to kernel 3.52 and not 1.50. Now go to game on the CFW PSP and run the “Despertar del Cementerio”. Once finished, u will have msipl.bin on x:/PSP. Now you have a UNIVERSAL psp Magic Memory stick and Pandora’s Battery. Now how to use them!!

YOU MUST READ THIS IF YOU ARE DOING THIS ON THE PSP SLIM!!! PSP FAT DOES NOT AUTO REBOOT WHEN FISNISHED! PSP SLIM WILL AUTO REBOOT WHEN FINISHED!

To install on the PSP SLIM insert the magic memory stick first then the Pandora’s Battery.
Now the screen will light up but no words? So we are going to use the lights to tell us whats going on.

When you insert the Magic Memory Stick and the Pandora’s Battery wait about 3 seconds and press X. The green light will start to blink very fast making it look almost solid. Green Means its installing.
Then Green and Orange will start blinking together, this means the program is running. Once it is done the PSP SLIM will auto reboot. Again the PSP FAT does not auto reboot.

To install on the PSP FAT insert the Magic Memory stick first then the Pandora’s battery.
Press X to install 3.71 M33
Press O to install original 3.71
Press [ ] to dump the nand
Press L+R+Start+Home to restore nand dump (DANGEROUS!)

Press X and it will go through a lot of files. When it is finished hold up the power switch and manually restart the PSP FAT.

The Press L+R+HOME+start to restore nand-dump.bin
This process is very dangerous, and you should only use it as a last resort.
It is physical restore process (not a logical one), and will try to make
a 100% clone of the dump.
If you are working with a dump that isn’t yours, you will get either a brick
or a corrupt idstorage, depending on the firmware.
If, your PSPs NAND has more damaged blocks than the dump being restored,
you may also end up with a brick.

I have already upgraded my PSP to 3.71 M33-4 and everything is working well, but the problem is when I changed some files in (8Files- Clear XMB) flash0 vsh resource it wont boot to PSP CF anymore but I can access recovery mode.

Help me please.

What type of games? If its a ISO game put in the ISO folder. If its homebrew please put it in the PSP/GAME folder

Hey, I have firmware version 3.93, and i’m trying to downgrade to 3.71M33. I e-mailed a guy on craigslist.com, and he said there is another method to put 3.71M33 on your PSP without doing Pandora Battery!! He never told me how, so I was wondering if anyone here knew.
