Has Sony started PSP-3000 production started in China? Yes! According to one major Chinese PSP Forum. They have apparently gotten hold of some photos of the new PSP model, dubbed the PSP-3000. Much like the revised PSP-2000 (Current model) this new revised unit features a new PSP logo UMD drive logo, has a new PSP logo home button and a built-in microphone.
It seems logical Sony would add a microphone for PSP Skype and GO!Messenger support. But what else might Sony have in-store for the new unit? Although just a rumour these photos could almost convince me.
Its natural Sony plan to revise the model again, maybe 3rd time lucky we will have a higher life battery and more energy efficient chips. Perhaps the unit will be even slimmer, 802.1 b/g WiFi, 128 Mb ram for even fast UMD loading?
Personal I think Just a matter of time before Sony releases a PSP-3000, after all its more hardware sales for them.
What’s your thoughts on this? Just a copied PSP Clone or a legit PSP-3000?

Wonder what they will call it, the PSP Ultra Slim? I hope they fix the weak battery life and add 802.1 G or N draft

Alright, ive read this already on psp-hacks, pspupdates, and pspfanboy. And in my previous posts u can tell the above is fake. They will probably make a psp 3000 but it wont be like this. Any modder could do that and u can clearly see that psp is fake.
Anyways if its coming out im not getting it, the slim was released in 2007, and they already release this, most likely to take action against us, the homebrewers.
Long live the homebrews, long live Dark Alex.

hmm…who knows… I just hope that when a psp-3000 is released, its actualy worth the upgrade, i would love to see integration of more functionality, i.e a built in PDA function with touchscreen for keyboard input etc, internal memory, even a token 4gb or something, and even two models, have a hdd/flash model and a classic umd, then either sell ‘official’ UMD usb drives and/or sell games via the internet to be run as iso (probably a proprietary image format if it did happen)
.. however the worst thing that i think they could do would be to have a full touchscreen with touch screen controllers..it would be a tactile nightmare! just my opinion tho

“however the worst thing that i think they could do would be to have a full touchscreen with touch screen controllers..it would be a tactile nightmare! just my opinion tho”
not if you could switch the touchscreen feature off and on..
I doubt they’ll add more RAM, though it would be nice. I’m not sure if I really believe in this new psp version, as I think sony would probably focus more on the next generation psp at the moment.

Right? Sony said that, your source is E3? Who was it you spoke too? This is as good as a fake or it could be true. As far as I know Sony have said nothing on the matter.

yah there is goin to be a new psp
but not like this
therez so much constant productoin for psp
due to sony losing this years colsole war
an so they want to win the handheld battle
an they want evey house hold to own a psp
for the “futer” tech an wi-fi an wat not
thus the combo packs and deals
there not goin to stop……
August 2, 2008 at 3:11 pm
they probably will end up bringing a new psp out. I don’t really see why they’re agains the homebrew community though. Yes most of it is illegal but that isn’t down to them. Why don’t they just say;
‘Hey, we’ve tried our best to stop homebrew so why don’t we employ Dark-Alex and sell homebrew enabled PSP’s. That way, we will win the console war because PSP will run every Nintendo product.
August 4, 2008 at 8:40 pm
well distorted i agree with you…if they employ DA PSP is gonna eat nintendo up…Dont know why the sony intellectuals cant see that.Secoondly,i dont know about any new PSP coming out but this is definetely a photoshop master’s work…

August 7, 2008 at 6:59 am
Hmm, if this is true then I should better hold my money and hold on for this one, Sony has always upgraded their existing technology so that 3rd party items won’t be compatible.
