R-Type clone on the PSP-3000
MaTiaZ and Freeplay released another homebrew game for the PSP-3000. This time bringing us a nice side scrolling shoot-em up R-Type clone. This homebrew game requires a USA copy of Gripshift and a PSP-3000 with firmware 5.02 or less! (Not to mention some patience!)

I think there is something missing in one of the files. I am on 5.02 OFW and when I replace the SAVEDATA files the game loads like normal.

same although i noticed that it it did not overwrite the game file it overid something else. when i deleted the original gamesave to try and make it load from the hacked one, the game just did not find the file, but the psp gamesave utility say the file belongs to gripshift, but gripshift doesnt regognize it…

Did you guys put the H.bin file at the root of your memory stick? If you didn’t that’s why it’s not working.

I have a PSP SLIM with TA-088 v3
The first Homebrew, the PONG, worked very well, but this one is not working and apparently it’s not working on PSP 3000 too.
To run it just delete your “PSP” folder and replace with the “PSP” folder that’s in the ziped file AND put “h.bin” file in the root foder of your Memory Stick.
(doing that you’ll lose your saved games, so backp it to your PC)
In the zip file there’s two folders in “SAVEDATA”, one starts with “ULUS” (used in american gripshift) and other with “ULES” (used in european gripshift).
Anyway, it’s not working.

You could play it if it was working, but it isn’t.

this one works, but for anyone you’ll need a Grip Shift UMD (american or european).
And NEVER upgrade your OFW, if you do this the Grip Shift exploit will never work. OFW 5.03 or higher fixes the game’s bug. (current OFW is 5.05)

Ok hey i’m kinda new so take me easy…So…i have a psp 3001 slim and..it was 5.02.Isufed the net looking for how to get to play games without umd’s so i updated it to 5.03 and then got chickhenR2 then i ran psiden 04 and saw that i had a TA-090v2and i looked and saw it wasn’t hackeble…or smthing like that…My question is…will i have to wait for it to be hacked somehow or do i have to buy a new psp or a new motherboard cuz it cant get hacked EVER?:Pwaiting reply pls help me.

Yes I put the .h file in the right location. There is some files missing in the file.
