PSP-3000 Homebrew Enabler user & kernel mode

One more step closer to homebrew on the . PSPGen are working on a for the , enabling both user and kernel mode homebrew. While the site is in French, translation tells us that with the use of HEN-A homebrew enabler, kernel and user modes will be possible. You will of course need gripshift :( Which is now reaching over the 100 USD mark on amazon and ebay!

Indeed, she found a way to activate the Kernel mode and, quite logically, to successfully install a HEN which allows the use of the advantages of a Custom Firmware without having to flash his console. Homebrew and launch games in ISO format.

    as great as this is,i hope something else not including gripshift comes up for hacking psp 3000. Because seriously, people like me will never be able to get gripshift without paying $100+

    guys does this mean this trick could be used in the psp 2000 slim that cant be hacked??? some one sed mine cant be hacked cuz my psp 2000 has the same mother bored as the 3000 which can be hacked and he could tell from the area where u put the betery where he saw a label writen psp 2004 and the ones that can actuly be hacked had writen 1004 ( he actuly showed me 2 diffrent psp and the pandora bettry didnt work on mine ) so does that means theres no other way?? only wait for the 3000 to get hacked

      Your friend is mostlikely telling the truth. Currently, the newer psp 2000 systems which use the ta-088v3 motherboards cannot be hacked except by the manner described in the video above of course.

    I wonder if there’s any difference in owning a PAL version or an NTSC version of the game.
    & do the saves from both of them load normally on either one?

    I’m not used to PAL & NTSC on the PSP or PS3, but back with the PS2, there is a difference between PAL games & NTSC games…

    If anyone could help with this, I would be much appreciative :)

      PSP’s and PS3′s are pretty much region free, so there is no PAL or NTSC label on the games.

      There are region codes on the boxes that determine where it is sold, and should be played though.

    can someone make a video of this exploit working on the Ta-088v3 psp 2000s
    i ve heard that the 3000 and ta-088v3 had the same security, so if 3000 was bypassed then so was the ta-088v3

    but most of the post i have read about the exploit only states 3000 …. nothin about slim ta-088v3

      PSP-3000′s have a different motherboard then the newer PSP-2000′s.

      When they hack the PSP-3000, there’s a chance that the v3 boards will be hacked as well.

        Hey, I have the PSP-2001 bought in August. Do you know if this one can be hack with out a problem using a Pandora battery or do you know a website that has all the 2000 versions that can be hacked?

    he means thtat when this hack is fully avaliable on the psp 3000

    it will be usable on the psp 2000 v3 mobos aswell

    as far as I know the exploit must work on every motherboard and firmware that we had at the moment so the TA 088v3 mobo must do prety the same as the 3000

    yeah,the psp 3000 use ta-088v3 mobo AKA motherboard and that would mean that you can hack your psp that use same mobo now

    Not precisely.Since the PSP-3000 has different hardware than the 2000, a new DAX has to work on a new firmware that works with the 3000. Now woth the TA-88v3 is a different story.You can install custom firmware directly sine it has the same hardware. But still, with both, DAX or somebody else has to figure out how to bypass the new security.

    um will it be possible to do this buffer over flow thing with ratchet clank size matters?? It cam with my psp so maybe sony did not bother to really try to protect it ^_^.

      very unlikely.. ratchet and clank is a pretty popular game and someoe has probably tried to bypass it already n it didnt work….

    Nah mines a psp 3000 ratcher clank bundle.I highly doubt thAT I WILL ever buy gripshift for 100 dollars on ebay,so hopefully someone will find a way to hack thhe psp 3000 without a UMD game.

    Forgive my ignorance, but, what was done to “hack” the PSP-3000 in the video?

    What data exactly was put into the save game?

    I have a friend who was given a new PSP 3000 for Christmas and I would like to work on getting homebrew running on it.

      the diff from psp 2000 slim and psp 3000 slim arent that much, built in microphone beter screen in terms of colours and less sun reflection, thats about it, my advice is that you get psp 3000 ofcourse if your bg buys his cds and if he wana dl his games for free u should get him psp 2000 though make sure its one of the hackable version.
